Had to do something to wake us up and get us back on the first page! How are we going to fare this weekend? A sweep would just about clinch home ice, but I fear that two points is more realistic in light of how we have been playing lately.

It has been too long since we've had a beer. Not timmay time that keeps me away, still love Maine hockey. Life priorities... little BlackI started to skate this year and is my focus. :)

Pretty excited about this team and have high hopes for them. Hopefully the defense and goaltending gel and it could be a very good season.

No reason we can't first win tonight and then win tomorrow night. But it won't be easy. Northeastern is desperate and they have beaten some good teams, especially earlier in the season. Like any Hoc East matchup, if you don't bring your A game, you're goin down.

Maine is playing much better on the road this year. 5-2-2 in it's last 9 HE games on the road. 3-1 in the last four. The team knows how important wins are at this point, it's up to them to focus and play hard for 60 minutes.

NU's 3-7-2 since Jan. 1 and looked pretty hapless at the Beanpot.

Still, Rawlings is decent and if they're capable of making him look like an All-American if they play like chit. Jump on 'em early and unlike last weekend don't give them a sniff and carry it into Saturday night.

Judging by their Twitter feeds, the players had a loose bus ride last night and are well-rested today. Hopefully that translates into a strong showing tonight.

Maine @ NU...is always a tough weekend,no matter what NU's record is and how they have played recently...it's Playoff time for them.

This went out today to the Hobey Committee and all D-I coaches.

if they lose tomorrow it will not be lawler, and as it is, there is a good chance that maine will not finish in 5th.

sweeper, a friend asked me to ask you.
besides the drop pass that actually connected with 7:50 left in the game... which pass was the good one?

honestly... he had a nice set up that could have gone either way, getting the puck to Diamond, but it deflected off the D and it was really close to being intercepted.... other than the drop pass that connected, did he make a second good pass in this game?
... no... they were all intercepted.

pay attention.

Anybody know why the Mangene penalty went up? NU scored and as far as I could see he slashed on the rush not afterwards in disgust. Not that it would've mattered at 75 secs. But they almost scored 5x5 empty net so 6x5 who knows....
