We're known mudders.

Forecast is in the 20s. Ice will be as good as it can for an outside game.

The temp should be fine. Outdoor games suffer when the sun attacks the blue lines and creases. If the ice guys make sure to take care of those areas its fine.

Omaha pulled off the outdoor thing horribly. That was gimmicky and poorly executed.

The "good" news is that I'm pretty sure Alvarez has some guys on speed dial for this kind of job, so it should be some folks with a bit of experience.

It's looking like at least the Gophers might avoid a playoff matchup with UAA. ;-)

I feel the same way. But MN needs to sweep next weekend if they want to get back in the race.
If SCSU rolls into Madison a month from now needing anything more than a split to guarantee themselves at least a share of the cup, I'll be happy.

I am going to miss these games. I know that we will still play the Gophers, but it wont be quite the same without conference points on the line. That was a really fun series, two good teams, great atmosphere. Does not get much better then that as far as college hockey regular season games go.

I am hoping for a Gopher vs Husky Championship game at the X for the last ever "real" Final Five.

Maybe just maybe we will see you guys at the Frozen Four as well.

If Faragher plays like he did on Saturday night the rest of the season, it is very possible SCSU makes the Frozen Four. If he plays like he did Friday night, SCSU will be one-and-done again in the tourney. Minnesota may have a little more leeway when Wilcox has an off night, but not much. Good thing for both SCSU and Minnesota is their goaltenders have been fairly steady throughout the season.

Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!! I fully expect (and hope) to see you Huskies in the final five and more importantly in the NCAA's when the importance of the games is even greater. I loved this weekend. Both teams were flying.
