It has been very slow since he was dropped off in the desert, the problem is they haven't gotten him back to relevance yet. They need to get Barry back into action of some kind. I'm sure his family being back in Abuddin will push things.

The inanimate object that plays his wife has to be the worst actress on the planet, assuming Julia Roberts has retired.

Bummer to hear about Tyrant 2 but I think I will still give it a shot.

Mr. Robot: based on the first 2 episodes, brilliant, clever, multi-layered. A+

Humans: based on the pilot, emotionally intense and fairly well written. A

Is Fear the Walking Dead also going to be based on comics, or is this an entirely TV only spin off?

True Detective. Slow, slow, slow, slow, slow, and then OMG.

Wow. That. Was. Intense.

The 1st season was great, but for many people that 6 minute long single take scene of the attempted drug robbery in the ghetto really sold them on the show. Kind of feel this was this seasons version of that.

ANW into the regional finals now, and very cool.

Still rolling along with True Detective, The Brink and Ballers.

TD took off at the end of episode 4 and has me captivated again after slow start. Brink and Ballers have both been solid so far.

Really like The Brink. Less Jack Black, more Aasif Mandvi please.

Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

The Brink and Ballers both have the same problem in that they're trying to make a darkly funny drama, but can't quite get the tone of the show right. Both are potentially interesting premises, but neither seems to have anything interesting to say in terms of point-of-view, and the comedy in both isn't close to good enough to make up for that.

I'm still on the fence with Mr. Robot. The production is incredible and gives the show a great feel. It's nice to see USA Network try something that ambitious. A lot hinges on how the season ends up. So far everything has been straight Fight Club But Computers including the heavily telegraphed Tyler Durden thing. If they can come up with an interesting twist on that, there's potential for something great. If they don't deviate from that at all, or come up with something lame, the whole thing ends up looking like a waste of time.

Bachelorette had their Men Tell All show and it was disappointing. Everybody played nice (even Ian, the Princeton *****) and that is no fun.
