Re: TV: The League Of Anarchy Is A Bunch Of Justified Mad Men

If you're using the PS3 or PS4 to stream your TV or movie service, seriously, put down the $40 or so to get an actual streaming device. I bought an Amazon Fire TV Stick this week because I had a gift card, and it's night and day using it vs. the PS3. It just doesn't get hung up when changing screens or trying to load the video the way my PS3 would so often do.

If I didn't game once in a while, I would. However my PS3 is starting to die, it had a good run, but I will be looking at that sort of device.

I agree completely. I bought the Chromecast and it is so much better, and easier to use than the stupid playstation. Every time you try to use the **** playstation you have to download updates, so annoying. Nothing like that with Chromecast.

We tried Chromecast but switched to a Roku 3. No problems with buffering using our DSL WiFi, except for NHL Game Center

The Brink and Ballers both have the same problem in that they're trying to make a darkly funny drama, but can't quite get the tone of the show right. Both are potentially interesting premises, but neither seems to have anything interesting to say in terms of point-of-view, and the comedy in both isn't close to good enough to make up for that.

I'm still on the fence with Mr. Robot. The production is incredible and gives the show a great feel. It's nice to see USA Network try something that ambitious. A lot hinges on how the season ends up. So far everything has been straight Fight Club But Computers including the heavily telegraphed Tyler Durden thing. If they can come up with an interesting twist on that, there's potential for something great. If they don't deviate from that at all, or come up with something lame, the whole thing ends up looking like a waste of time.

I haven't watched The Brink but I am watching Ballers. Not liking it as much as I had hoped to. But I will keep with it.

Mr. Robot- yeah, I'm watching last week's episode and it will be my last. I do not get it. It's too weird.

I am enjoying The Last Ship more than I thought. I started watching because I like Eric Dane. I was wondering where they story would go this season and I've been pretty happy with it.

I'm really liking UnREAL, which is a scripted drama about a Bachelor type of show. Very entertaining. I like shows like that.

Ray Donovan started up a couple of weeks ago. I am not thrilled with the addition of Katie Holmes to the cast as I don't think she fits what the role is looking for.

Haven't had a chance to really review the Emmy nominations but the only thing I have to say is I really need to get Netflix. And now that I have AppleTV I can.

I turn on my PS3 just about every day, and have only had 2-3 updates in the last 6 months (maybe longer). Had some Netflix issues, BUT it was a known issue, and Netflix walked me through the fix.

The only problem I have with the PS3 is that you need to be signed in to use anything over the 'net, and the PSN is always kicking me out.

Same here, though not every day (1-2x per week). No Netflix-specific issues either, any incidents I've had are related to my overall connection/ISP.

There is some known glitch with the PS3 (the Netflix person knew exactly what I was talking about). I had to reset something, tweak another thing, and all was good.

I don't know if it's the same in the U.S. but Comedy Central can die in a fire if I have to see one more ad for Lip Sync Wars. What a worthless "look at me" show from actual A list celebs, whose faux ire toward the opponent has already run tired before the first airing. I'm giddy with anticipation for how many ways they can try to be ironic. Add to it all Anna Kendrick and her puny face and it might erase all the good Jon Stewart has done for that network.

Do not besmirch Anna.

I haven't seen it, but it sounds the same over there. And yes, it's a worthless show.

I've turned on my playstation maybe 10 times this year, probably half of those I've had to download some update, had an issue with some kind of network something or another, or just had it fail to do what I want it to do. HATE the playstation for this reason. Chromecast for the win.

The old ways are the best ways.

Any good cameos? Biz Markie cracked me up in S2.

The first 10 minutes were excellent. The rest - meh. Surprisingly, Mark Cuban and Ann Coulter were fine. And David Hasselhoff was David Hasselhoff.

I don't think I've ever had it kick me out. I have the opposite problem where it takes 2-3 tries to connect and then I'm good.

I'm glad Sony added Crackle, I've been dominating Sports Jeopardy. Although the online quiz to get on the show kicked my arse. Too bad too, I'd actually have a shot to win if I got on.
