Lone Star. (Why did I hear Rick Moranis when I typed that? :D)

Meh.

I just watched it. Liked it a lot. But then, I like shows like that. :)

Watching the season premiere of Glee now, and then I'll watch Gossip Girl and Hawaii Five-0 from last night.

HIMYM: Who was the actress playing the other chick, the one Rachel Bilson made out with at the end? I know I've seen her before but I can't place her.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I was wondering that too...

The first half of Glee was pretty awesome, the second half was underwhelming.

NCIS and NCIS: LA are next, very exciting! :)

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

By the way, I thought Barney saying Robin had passed her "sell-by date" sort of crossed the line from friendly ribbing to genuinely mean. That's the kind of thing you say when you're making fun of about a celebrity who hasn't aged well (Kelly LeBrock comes to mind), not the kind of thing you say about your friend. It struck me as a sour note in an otherwise quite good episode.

You don't think he did that to snap her out of her funk? That's what I was getting. It was Barney being nice in his typical round about way.

Yeah, just watched my recording. Awesome, although somewhat reminiscent of Flash Forward. the only thing that bugs me is their overuse of the time jumping as a story device. Whhen done right, it works, but they're just doing it way too much.

Agree on all counts.

i dunno....

i watched 24 because it was something that could happen.

i never watched one minute of lost. and when i heard/read about the time machine and all that crap i was happy with myself.

now we had that plane vanish and the 'human' woman tell prez martinez, "i haven't told you everything..." and i don't even want to begin to wonder what the heck the story is gonna be here?? i'm guessing it's not alien. some kind of spiritual, supernatural forces?? couldn't be heavenly creatures.. but what?? and is it a human group out to stop them?? cause they couldn't just make them dissappear... they have to kidnap a daughter and grandkid and kill a wife to force a guy to steal a jet and crash it.

so what gives?!??!

this question will bring me back for week 2 - but i'm guessing i still won't find out and may bail.

oh well.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Episode 8 of Season 3 of Californication:

The who played Louie in The State made a brief appearance as a fellow writer. Says he "likes to brew a cup of 'Word Tea.'"

Duchovny, after some braggadoccio, says to him, "Maybe you can brew your Word Tea....maybe dip your balls in it."

I was in hysterics, and wondered how many others got the joke.:D

Answering my own question, that was Kaylee DeFer, whom I recognized from her role as the daughter in the somewhat-below-mediocre Michael Rapaport sitcom The War At Home.

Maybe that's what they were going for, but I still thought it came across the wrong way.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Hawaii 5-0 was surprisingly fun. Don't think O'loughlin is much of an actor, or at least he hasn't shown it yet, and the whole premise seems to be just have an excuse to have some major shooting/blow chit up stuff happen every five minutes, but it was fun.

I'd never seen it before in his acting, but in this instance, Scott Caan sounded much like his father. Just the way he delivered his lines, his inflections, sounded exactly like his old man in Las Vegas. I don't know if it's deliberate ot what, but it's there.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I liked Community tonight, they took all the things from last season that they could have dragged out for this season and gave closure to it all. Well done.

HAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Toto at the end with Betty White! :D
