TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Definitely intrigued by Boardwalk Empire. Some things I liked:

- The gambler from Chicago having made $2M on the (rigged) 1919 World Series
- Molly Parker (from Deadwood) being the picture of Buscemi's dead wife
- 21-year-old Al Capone
- How stupid Buscemi's assistant guy is
- A guy I've known since we were five or six doing stunts

One thing I think the first episode did was not be overly aggressive and setting up the series for a good amount of action and dialogue. It's one thing for series to start with a bang, but a lot of them can't sustain it. I feel that the writing and drama will get better as the season goes on.

By the way, did you notice Mark Wahlberg is an EP on this series too? I think he's trying to take over HBO one series at a time.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Also, in the previews, Sean Bean has a new show that I figured must've been a preview of Lord of the Rings on HBO because he looked just like his character from the movies.

HA! Love the Dr. Evil-style floor trapdoor in the new Buy More.

Edit to add: And Harry Dean Stanton as a repo man!

Thanks to ShirtlessGuy, finally am getting into the world of torrents. Got Californication Season 3, and am 3 eps in.

Spoiler (and also whited out for decency laws):

I never EVER want to hear Kathleen Turner talk about how wet she's getting, talk about her sexual fantasies, etc etc etc. And it happens quite a bit so far.

Sue Collini always gets the weenie.

Also, re. Boardwalk Empire, Steve Buscemi definitely looks like a "Nucky", doesn't he?

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

My local CBS station cut off "Be there, Alo...." for a stupid 5 second Verizon logo.

And it was #8!!!

Yes she does! :D

Torrentz is the only way to watch tv online, or download music or whatever! :D

I will watch Chuck later, but House was pretty friggin awesome, and this season is going to be crazy :D

I'm used to the streaming non-downloading sites. This is new. And as I said, I like it so far. They have some obscure movies. Now my next leap of faith is actually burning them. Is it as easy as point and click?

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

It depends on certain factors...if you want to just burn the movie to a DVD then yes, if you want to add the menus, special features, commentary and chapters than you need to do a bit more but most burning software can do it. (also need Dual Layer discs)

I dont burn myself, I keep them on my external drive.

Just watched Chuck...not only was Dolph awesome but Linda Hamilton can definitely break me :D

Lone Star. (Why did I hear Rick Moranis when I typed that? :D)

Meh.
