I think they are doing that to make up for the captain not being around much.

I gave up on Weeds after three seasons, but I've got to ask since I've seen a billion ads for it: What the **** is the deal with that croquet mallet?

You gave up far too soon.

Last season's ending was fantastic and it continued last night with a solid season premiere.

I love Shane as a bad*** now.

Spoiler alert if you want to know what the deal is with the croque mallet:

Shane killed a woman named Pillar, who was "threatening" to ruin the family basically with a croque mallet and she fell into a pool to close out the last season.

The finale was the only good part of last season. I hope this season is better.

Ray Villuex is not only a jackwagon, but he'll be lucky to keep his job. He's done so much "rookie sh*" it's amazing he hasn't been canned already.

Mad Men may have just passed the Simpsons for greatest mechanical drinking bird gag ever.

"Do not touch that until I get back. I want to see how long it goes."

It's really amazing that for a drama on a low-rung cable network, they ended up with a cast of really good actors that have absolutely impeccable comedic timing.

OK, so, Hung. Tanya's Kermit-the-Frog arms flailing run was already one of the funniest things on TV, but when she ran and then climbed the fence to get away from Mike and Frances (that's her name, right?) I pretty much lost it.

Edit to add: I've been enforcing a self-imposed moratorium on new shows for the past couple of years or so, in order to keep my TV viewing to a reasonable level, but I think I might have to break it for Boardwalk Empire.

On a separate note....while hanging out on the Paramount lot today, I met Scott Bakula! I'm assuming at least one of you watched Quantum Leap when it was on. And while I was emailing someone that I met him, I almost walked into Chevy Chase. Community films there. I did see the guy that plays Abed as well. Not a bad day on the celeb watch.

Oh, and for those of you who might recall the original Battlestar Galactica, I saw the guy that used to play Boomer this morning at a coffee shop.

I watched Quantum Leap (still do when it is on!) so now I want to kill you ;)

I'm watching the Hasselhof roast right now. Hulk Hogan is not a comedian. WT F was he doing there?

Neither is George Hamilton, but the jokes that made fun of him were some of the best, and he held his own in the retorts.
