Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Muuuuuuuch better time at the Emmys!!!! Saw way more people, got some autographs. And I saw myself on the Emmy pre show on NBC!!! That was pretty awesome. So busy stalking the lobby that I pretty much missed most of the show. I have no idea who won anything. That's ok. I recorded the show so I can see it when I get home.

On the way to In n Out burger for a post Emmys meal! Will post more later.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Didn't watch the Emmy's but I heard it was a good show. Anyone get a count on how many times Fallon laughed during the broadcast? Glad to see more accolades for the actors on Breaking Bad: Bryan Cranston is 3 for 3 with this role and Aaron Paul got a much deserved supporting actor statue.

I'm watching the Hasselhof roast right now. Hulk Hogan is not a comedian. WT F was he doing there?

Even more strange is the cast of regulars that show up at every Comedy Central Roast: Ross, Giraldo, Gottfried, Lampanelli, etc. It's more than obvious that they don't really know who they're roasting, yet there they are. Every time. Is it part of the ultimate insult of getting roasted? "You have no friends in this business anymore, so we're just going to put Greg Giraldo on the panel because he doesn't have anything better to do.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Just finished watching Pillars of the Earth excellent.

Also have started watching the first season of The Mentalist not bad but I like Psych better.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

So, Persons Unknown ended last Saturday with the last two episodes airing back to back. I started watching the first one and it started off with "scenes from last week." I didn't recognize any of them. I went to NBC.com and the episode was there. While watching it I was reading some of the comments. Apparently, NBC never aired episode 11, just put it online and never said anything. Way to go NBC. I know the show was cancelled/was only going to be a summer 13-episode run, but you can't not air an episode in a serial like that. Idiots. Now I can go watch the last two episodes to see what happens.

I actually read about the online thing when they skipped a week, but you'll be even more irritated after you finish watching the final pair. Apparently they were 100% confident of second season when they finished filming.

Yeah, I had the last three episodes DVR'd, so I watched the first one I had, then the first of the back to back airings, and went "what the heck? I'm missing somethig here." Went to Hulu and found the missing one, I thought maybe my DVR just missed it.

I haven't watched it all yet, and still have the last two to go, but looks to me as if they're killing everyone off, and setting it up for Janet to be the Joe of the next season. Course, I could be wrong.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Is anyone watching this Family Wipeout show? It's basically a Japanese gameshow clone. It's a proven fact, the fatter the contenstant, the more entertaining the show. :D

Pretty much a ripoff of MXC. It's okay.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Summer finale of Psych tonight. Definitely think this season is way better than last, especially with Corbin Berensen joining the cast full-time. Though I do wish that Shawn and Juliet would just get it on already...

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Shawn Spencer is a super spy pimp!

The sheer amount of awesome references in the season finale of Psych was amazing...and the ending was kinda cool :)

I love this show!

This was definitely a Shawn and Gus driven episode...the plot was barely prevalent, but it was awesome! I think the progression of James Roday and Dule Hill as a comedic team is very evident over the past 4+ seasons. The writing too has been consistent which is surprising for shows that rely on quick humor.

I watched their panel from Comic-con a few years ago and the head writer and James Roday basically spend time on every script trying to sneak in as many references as they can trying to one up each other. Pretty much everyone involved in the show is just hilarious and take nothing seriously so they fit perfectly! :)

From what I hear, their outtake reel is sometimes more entertaining than the show itself.
