Archer: Stop. Shut up, I have to go. And if I find one single dog hair when I get back, I'll rub sand in your dead little eyes.
Woodhouse: Very good, sir.
Archer: I also need you to go buy sand. I don't know if they grade it... but.. .. .. coarse.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Haven't seen any of the former and most of the latter. Yet I really want to watch X-Files all the way through as I lost touch in 1996 when I was in the Middle East and couldn't watch it regularly.

I lost touch when Mulder left the show. It just wasn't the same. I will say I haven't seen any episodes in years. I should rewatch them. Oh, and keep the little ones away from Californication. You'll see why in about the first minute of the show. :D

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

Watch Archer too if you haven't already.

Edit: Nm, "just the tip" was already posted.

On an unrelated note, I have lost a lot of respect for Zahi Hawass after seeing a few episodes of Chasing Mummies. He's a continental d*ck of the most epic nature. I've never seen a bigger a-hole, ever.

H Jon Benjamin as the voice of Archer is the definition of perfect casting.

The first minute? I think he'll figure it out on the DVD menu, before he even starts watching the first episode.

I did catch the DW season finale and wow it was awesome. The Doc got trapped in the Pandorica thanks to an alliance of bad guys consisting of Daleks, Cybermen, Judoon and other assorted bad boys. I saw both parts together last night and the TARDIS blowing up was cool. Then having the shock of Amy getting shot by Auton Rory. Also loved the end of Part 2 where the Doc shows up at Amy and Rory's wedding. The Christmas Special can't come soon enough.

Re: TV 5: Cliffhangers and Intros!

I am nearly through Season 1 of the X-Files. I really watched the show hardcore the first few years but lost track towards the latter part of the series. Assuming I stick with it, does watching the 1st movie have any ties to keeping up with the government conspiracy running throughout and if so, does it matter relative to which seasons I watch it?

Yeah, the first movie really really ties into the episodes, although I don't recall which season it followed. It's almost like a bonus double-length episode, and should be viewed accordingly in relation to the seasons.

I never watched the show, but I had friends who did and they all told me the movie had zero to do with what was going on on the show at the time. I like the movie quite a bit FWIW.
