That scene was so basic and yet so ****ed funny I still laugh out loud thinking about it! Jim Parsons does such a great job as Sheldon (a character you can't like yet somehow you love) he deserves more accolades.

Re: TV 4 - Renewed for another thread!!!

I really like the Sheldon character but hope they don't jump the shark with the him, whether it be via story-lines and/or focusing too much on the character.

I think the Sheldon-Penny dynamic is a lot more interesting than the Leonard-Penny dynamic now that they're a couple, personally.

Well it always was...I read an interview with them both at Comic-Con last year where they talked about how they were supposed to be basically mortal enemies but forced to deal with each other because of Leonard. That is why the funniest stuff is when they work together because you can see them both seething :D

I wish the term "jump the shark" would go away...

(insert someone saying "jump the shark" has jumped the shark)

"mortal enemies" seems to be a bit of an overstatement, but I guess mortal enemies in a prime time sitcom aren't the same thing as mortal enemies in, like, 24. I think it's cute that they seem to be starting to be friends, though - like Sheldon helping Penny when she fell down in her shower, for instance, and you can't really imagine Leonard singing "Soft Kitty" to Sheldon when he can't sleep, can you?

I think they said they hate each other so it was a bit of conjecture on my part but you get the point. :)

When Sheldon sang "Soft Kitty" it was great and the episode where he tried to teach Penny Physics was AWESOME! :D

Community once again takes the cake for funniest of the NBC Thursday line-up.

I really hope they don't change a thing for season 2.

The only potential downfall I see is a Jeff and Britta romance ruining the show the same way Jim and Pam ruined the office.

I don't think Jim and Pam getting together necessarily ruined the Office. It was more of a case of the writers running out of funny ideas, so they had to focus on the sappy relationship stuff more. Once they took that to it's logical end, they still had nothing, thus we get a clip show.

Stupid Ross and Rachel.

Oh, wait.

Re: TV 4 - Renewed for another thread!!!

That isnt saying much...NBC wouldnt know a good comedy if it hit them in the face!

Have you seen the show? :)

I'm not saying NBC is the be all end of all comedies but they do have a true hidden gem in Community that sadly not nearly enough people are watching right now. The Office and 30 Rock get all the press and even at times Parks and Rec has been on par as far as viewers with Community.

People are really missing out and what sucks is starting next week, Community has to go head to head with Survivor again.

"Community" won't be going head to head with "Survivor" because NBC will be broadcasting the Winter Olympics.

Vote for Meg Whitman, the only candidate who buys airtime in the middle of SNL skits!

Yes I like Community, it is a funny show. That had absolutely nothing to do with the point. NBC has some of the least funny shows on TV which is why their ratings blow. The fact that it is the best show on the network is like being the tallest midget.

I would personally put it well behind Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother and even Big Bang Theory on shows I find funny. I watch it every week and I enjoy it a lot but if I missed it I doubt if I would be too upset about it. :)

Re: TV 4 - Renewed for another thread!!!

The last two sketches on SNL last night were great. Too bad no one probably saw them because the rest of the show was pretty awful that people probably shut their TVs off. And if anyone did watch last night - what did the folks at Burn Notice do to annoy folks at NBC? Be a better all around drama than anything on NBC? It was also odd because NBC owns USA Networks (or at least are all part of the same corporate family). I guess the Burn Notice people should feel flattered to be skewered.
