Oh crap, I completely forgot about undercover boss. Time to <s>break out the torrent client</s> purchase the dvds when they come out

I also love that Hooters was started as an April Fools joke because the guys who started it never believed it would work. Nobody ever went broke underestimating the public. :p

Yeah, that manager should have been canned immediately. I did think it was way cool about the all-expenses vacation for that other manager. Sure, it's a drop in the bucket for the company, but it meant a crapload to her.

Undercover Boss is interesting, inasmuch as when a company used to want to get a knobjob on tv, it had to pay for a 30 second commercial. Now they get paid to give themselves said knobjob for an hour. What a country!

Side note, I really enjoyed How to Make it in America.

Actually, no one on the show is getting paid for the show. I did some research, and since it was presented as a "documentary" and not a "reality" show, no payment was required. Even the CEOs aren't getting paid.

That being said, yeah, it's an ad for the company, but with some drawbacks (like tonight's moron Hooter's manager who needs to be taken out back and beat down).

This two minutes of television is the exact reason I started to love It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The video embed will (hopefully) work for the next 5 weeks.

As someone who never watched a single minute of Battlestar Gallactica I have to say I am really enjoying Caprica so far. This kinda shocks me because I thought the idea sounded stupid at first but I really like the cast and the story so far is rather intriguing.

I am currently watching the finale of Boston Legal on TV Land...man I miss this show :(

Is Caprica a new series?

I never watched Galactica - old or new - while it was airing on TV, but I started watching the 2004-2007/8 version on DVD. Tomorrow I will finish season 3. It's been good so far, although there's more religion/mysticism than I expected from the show. I'm anxiously awaiting seasons 4.0 and 4.5 coming in the mail.

It is a new show on SyFy (dumbest name ever) on Friday nights, takes place 58 years before the fall of the 12 colonies. Captain Adama is a kid and the story revolves mostly on his fathers family (a crime family) and the Greystones. Eric Stoltz plays Daddy Greystone who is sort of like the Bill Gates of Caprica, rich and successful running a major technology company and he invents the Cylons.

There is a lot of religion involved as the majority of the citizens are polytheistic and there are monotheistic terrorists. (the precursor to the Cylon religion from what I can gather) The major plotline has been a terrorist attack that happens in the pilot episode.

BTW from what I have been told about how BSG ended, the twist for the finale is quite good. Having it spoiled makes me actually want to maybe watch the show and Caprica is as well. :)

That episode also has one of my favorite endings of the entire series (that I've seen). Although nothing can top the ending to Mac Is A Serial Killer.

Finally started watching my DVR of Caprica, and right away have a question.

The house where Greystone lives, the one on the lake, is that the same house where Baltar was living in the BSG mini-series episodes? The one where he is with Six when the Cylons attack?
