Thought I'd comment on a couple of different things I watched, or am watching.
The first is Catch and Kill, the HBO series made from Ronan Farrow's podcast about the Weinstein story. I think there are a total of six episodes, the first four of which have been excellent. Farrow has a pretty easy going manner which allows him to just sort of subtly extract the story out of the interviewees. Weinstein obviously comes across as the devil, but NBC runs a pretty close second to him.
Next I watched Heist, a six part series on Netflix. It presents the story of three unrelated crime capers, each comprising two episodes in the series. The first is a young woman in her twenties, who simply manages to drive away with a Loomis security truck in Las Vegas containing millions of dollars. Story two involves a family of idiots in Miami, lead by a guy who just sat around watching CSI and thought he could create the perfect plan for stealing a $100 million in cash at the airport and, if his gang had a collective IQ greater than 87, might have gotten away with it. Story number three involves a hillbilly in Frankfort, KY, who decided to steal hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of high end bourbon from the distillery where he worked.
I'd give that one a watch, too.
Finally, I watched the first five episodes of Solos, on Prime, and frankly, should be awarded some sort of prize for doing so. It's a series that attempts to pull off Black Mirror, but for some reason forgot you actually need a story. Probably no bigger waste of talent on the streaming services right now. Watch at your own risk.
