There may have been some hyperbole and whiskey behind my comment.

Not technically TV but we enjoyed the Anthony Bourdain documentary on Netflix

Moon Knight was terrible. First of all Ethan Hawke sucks so hard it makes my balls hurt. I can't stand that pretentious self-indulgent douchebag. Secondly the story telling was completely whack, and the editing was some of the worst I've ever seen.

Ethan hawke ain’t my fave either but I do love him in the Linklater trilogy

Barbie was fine. Easy to see why the fascist talking heads hate it ("They made men look STUPID and easily manipulated!11!!1 Waaaaaaaah my fee fees!!11!!"), and that makes me smile.

I started True Detective. S1.1.

Wow, those two crazy stoners are great in it.

(No spoilers, please -- I know it gets even better, and I know to quit cold turkey after S1, like West World.)

I'm liking the new Justified, but is it me, or is it...quiet? I have the volume up pretty high and it's still kind of hard to hear. I think it's a production issue.

Really enjoyed season 3 of The Mandalorian. Probably my favorite season of the series which is at the top of the Star Wars food chain for product.

Just saw that S2 of Dark Winds is out. If it's anywhere near as good as S1 I can't wait. I highly recommend to anyone that hasn't heard of it.

Curious others thoughts but I felt the Secret Invasion final episode was an abysmal failure. Everything up to that point was great.

I was let down by it too.

I know the shows won't move the "major" MCU story forward, but yet again, I'm let down by something that has almost ZERO connection to the main MCU. It's a separate side project.

I mean, the potential is there for connectivity, but they seem to be choosing to not use it.

The Deepest Breath (Netflix streaming) - Hmm. Equal parts amazing, exhilarating, maddening, frightening, frustrating and outright heartbreaking. I can only imagine what the competitors go through during their diving endeavors.

Also while watching the Bourdain documentary many of the same feelings came to the surface. From the very first time I discovered who he was his ability to write in ways I've never elsewhere experienced drew me to him immeasurably. He was brilliant, arrogant yet unassuming at the same time, prophetic, thought-provoking and in the end entertaining yet truly flawed. And he never shied from it. His suicide angered me before I watched this doc and after it my anger was not lessened. I really miss his gift for the written/spoken word.

Also, please read the books!!! They're intelligent, subtle, and lovely.

Non-spoiler very light annoyance:

My one complaint about Dark Winds is it took plot elements from a bunch of different stories and combined them. This was unnecessary, because Hillerman's original plots are far more interesting, and they also makes a coherent whole. The TV show mashed up so many of the elements it kind of ruined the integrity of the universe and paradoxically f-cked the chance to expand the series, unless they do new material, which IMO would be inane. Rainn Wilson's character was particularly stupid and jarring.

Also, Gordon is totally miscast as Chee. McClarnon nails Leaphorn though.

The CW Network seems to be serious about carrying major sports OTA. In addition to some NCAA stuff, they also just landed the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NASCAR's 2nd tier series). They will show all races, qualifying, and practice (5-8 hours total for the weekend).

Not to be snarky, but NASCAR top level is barely serious so the 2nd series...

: )
