Oh, I want to take this opportunity to publicly admit, with Fonzie, that I was wrrr----.

I was vehemently opposed to The Bear having an S2, because S1 was perfect and I just assumed they would ruin it.

But my god S2 is just as good. I have only gotten through 2.05 (the Replacements episode) so no spoilers please, but I am so impressed by the writing, acting, and of course the cinematography is genius. What a great work of art by everyone. Christopher Storer is a god. Did you guys know he directed Hasan Minhaj's Homecoming King? See that if you haven't, it is equally amazing.

I started watching s1. Had a hard time getting through the second episode. It seems pretty good, I hope it gets better. However, what I've seen doesn't seem like a comedy so I don't know why it's nominated in that category.

I wouldn't call it a comedy either. It has a few chuckles sure but that's it.

The Bear is one of only a handful that have more than 1 season, where each season has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Buckle up. Episode 6 is a wild ride. And episode 7 is spectacular.

I remember when I posted that Bob odenkirk would be in season two, which made you even more skeptical. And you’re correct that usually season two is a letdown.

im confident when you see Odenkirk, you’ll love it even more

Apparently the Emmy nominations for the Bear are for season 1. Since it premiered in June 2022 and the Emmy noms for 2023 are for June 2022-May 2023. I remember it winning some awards for season 1 already I guess I just hadn't realized none were Emmys.

Just saw the Dave S2 Kareem episode and I love how it likely offended every single person on Earth in some way.

That is good writing.

Kareem is great to go along with it.

Speaking of Odenkirk, that reminded me that BCS is likely to get shut out again at the Emmy’s.

Ep 1 of Full Circle has promise although I can't say I love the representation of the characters played by Claire Daines and Timothy Olyphant yet. I don't know if that's by design or by poor writing and direction. Not enough to prevent me from watching Ep 2 but it's on my mind.

Black List season finale was ok. At least I know who Red really is now. I guess the rumors are true. The conservatives must be losing their shit about it but they probably stopped watching long ago.

Same. I’ll watch episode 2, I love olyphant

Maybe it's time I watched Justified...I keep meaning too and the strike is going to push stuff back...

So I saw The Seven Fishes. Spoilers:

I didn't think much of Odenkirk TBH.

JLC should win an Emmy. That was actual acting. Like, real acting. What we never see on TV.

I loathe Sarah Paulson and she was perfectly cast.

Mulaney was a good try but too hemmed in. I really enjoyed the Chicago connection though.

It was excellent.
