Shout out to Harriet Walter for being in both big finales this week. Her characters had some good lines

OMG I was wondering if that was Caroline when I was watching Ted Lasso. Good for her for being in two very buzzy finales. Her agent should get a raise.

Kep - with regards to your second bullet, agreed that we don't know but I do hope at the very least she ditched the doctor after the scene when they were watching the game and he was making snide comments about soccer. I'm assuming they edited a scene out where the son or Michelle called him on it. What a jackbag.

I'm halfway through...it's a lot of fun!

Mookie went looking for it last night thinking it was a movie. Quite surprised to see a multi episode series.
first couple had mookie laughing out loud spitting funny. Then a drag period but all in all enjoyed it.
got the sense from the last scene that the door was open for a next season.
unsure if mookie welcomes that. Space force was fine for season one. Then insert why it was canceled as mookie May have made it through 1.5 episodes of season 2

Netflix began their crackdowns. Two of my friends are not happy. I'm probably ax month or two away from canceling since I really only watch it for two shows and I think I can get a free account anyways.

End of Ted Lasso was what is should have been. I won't remember anything in it, really, but that's okay, it was an homage to the whole show.

The very end song, however -- that was chef's kiss.

I did like:
  • We have no idea who Keeley is with, if either, neither, or both
  • We have no idea whether Ted and his wife are back together
  • Sam on the national team
It's not about wins and losses. (I wish they had left whether they won it all ambiguous, too.)

Yes, it was a great summary and callback to everything that happened, and done well. They answered some questions, brought some faces back, and left a few things open, as they should have. Some times a wrap-up episode would fell forced, but something about Ted Lasso make it feel deserved. That said, the penultimate episode was so emotional, this almost feels like an epilogue.

Edit: Reading some discussion on Reddit, jfc this episode has so many callbacks and random things I did not notice.

What is their protocol for allowing or canceling extended users?

The end of Ted Lasso was wonderful. I teared up a few times. Going to miss that show.

Onto the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!

Mookie gets 3 months free of apple tv for his new phone. Never seen an episode of lasso and plan to do a straight run through over a few evenings

There is a "household" set up and anyone outside the household is blocked from using. Not sure how that will affect travelling (I think specific devices can be saved but not sure) but if you want to add households it costs more money.

hmmmm. mookie uses his ipad. mookie also uses with a vpn. when mookie opens the N there are the little boxes to choose from mookie or 3 of his kids...

Looking at the new Netflix plans, there is a $15/month plan that is for one household and one user outside of the household. Then a $20/month plan that allows for 2 users outside household. Not sure how it will work with travelling. Also, from what I understand, the outside household users will have their own sign in and password info to identify them as outside house but the cost is still tied to the original account/plan. Additional outside house users are $8/month. With the way my family works it, the Netflix account is going to go the $20/month one and myself and my niece will be the additional users. We all pretty much pay for one or two subscriptions to something and share them so it will roughly even all out in the long run.

So, when I stay at my mother's, I log into my Netflix account on her TV. I let her watch it as me. That's not a second household, is it? I didn't create a new profile, I just logged into my own account.

It sounds like the travel option is that you need to be signing in with your main, household profile at least once a month at the primary location to be able to activate it on a travel mode when you are not at the main location. Similar to YouTube TV. I don't use it really at all anymore but I had a profile on someone else's account in a different state. If they signed in with my profile and watched for a short time, I could then open and use the app in travel mode for a while. There may be a little more to it than that but Netflix does have a page that explains it a little: https://help.netflix.com/en/node/24853
