TV 19 - Simpsons Did It

So two comments on tv shows.

First, I have no idea what the story even is anymore on Westworld. This season was mildly interesting for the first couple of episodes, but now they've lost me. It'll be hit or miss as to whether I even finish the season out, and I'm pretty stubborn about slogging through once I've started something.

Second, HBO has a limited series on called Edge of the Earth, and the first episode was terrifying. It's a four part series about what can best be described as extreme outdoor sports, basically sports in which 99.999% of us would fail at it, and by that I mean die.

Episode #1 involved catching a boat ride to a spot in Glacier Bay, Alaska, skiing across a glacier, climbing 10,000 foot Mount Bertha, then skiing/snowboarding down what is about a 45 or 50 degree incline of snow and ice, while filming it. The Go Pro footage of the first segment was one of the scariest things I've ever watched.
 
I think not knowing what is going on in West World is a feature, not a bug. That being said I always watch a Youtube recapper after every episode so I can kind of understand what's going on. Even then it's pretty confusing.
 
Nearing the end of Season 2 of American Game of Thrones (aka Yellowstone). It has gotten more "dramatic" every episode. I am still trying to figure out my fave character Bethany Dutton. My affinity for her is waning by the day.
 
I'm three episodes into The Bear and just realized the guy playing the cousin is not the guy who does The Machine comedy routine.

Um. Yeah.

Spoiler: she was always stronger and smarter. The scene where she lies to the face of the wife, without breaking eye contact, and convinces her, to relieve the threat to her and Jimmy, was her entire character in a nutshell. I knew she would leave then. It was a very good exit.

You mean Bert Kreischer? I love that guy! Before he was big I met him after a show at a local comedy spot randomly (Acme Comedy Club for those in the know) and he was the coolest. I am also partially responsible for why he has been low key blackballed from there. (true story)

Speaking of comedy- Chappelle is at First ave tonight and sounds like protestors will be out
