Duluth vs AH Champion, Wisconsin vs Merrimack

Manchester:
North Dakota vs Dartmouth, Michigan vs New Hampshire

St. Louis:
Denver vs Union, BC vs Western Michigan

Attendance wise, not a whole lot to change. Bridgeport, Green Bay and Manchester are solid attendance wise, and St. Louis is going to be difficult regardless. You could swap DU and North Dakota...and that would probably be the only change I would make attendance wise.

Some late tweaks due to games this week:

1 seeds stay the same-Yale, UMD, UND, Denver.
Michigan moves to #5, BC #6 RPI #7 Wisconsin #8
#9 ND,#10 UNH, #11 Merrimack stay, but Dartmouth moves to a third seed at #12
#13 Union, #14 UNO and now Miami enters at #15, #16 AHA Champ

Western Michigan is out (and is #16 as of now)

Maybe sets up:

Bridgeport:

Yale vs. UNO, BC vs. Dartmouth

Manchester:

UMD vs. RIT, RPI vs. UNH

Green Bay:

UND vs. Miami, Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame

St. Louis:

Denver vs. Union, Michigan vs. Merrimack

Just a guess, based on integrity, geography and attendance.

Integrity took a slight hit for attendance. UMD could be flipped with UND.

At the moment Yale is in a bracket with the AHA Champ, RPI and Merrimack. :D

Soooo, we get RIT (current AH leader) vrs DU in the East again, then possibly UNH. Where have we seen this before :cool: :D

For all intents and purposes, they are. I'd be stunned if the NCAA doesn't find a way to keep the Badgers there.

I have W. Michigan as a 4 seed, while Union is a 3 seed. Why are you putting W. Michigan as a 3? They are tied with Union, but Union has quite a sizeable lead in RPI.

TBRW still breaks ties between two teams via H2H comparisons. It's only happened one time where the H2H comparisons and RPI didn't agree (UNH and UND in '05) but they had to be switched anyway because of conference pairings. We know that when three teams are tied it comes down to RPI over H2H comparisons, so it is probably the case with two teams as well. Western and Union would switch places in that case.

Would you expect Michigan to be placed in Green Bay if they become a #1 seed? Or would it depend on the team that they replaced (out of the current four)?

Michigan is not "driving distance" from the Green Bay regional (unless the NCAA acknowledges ferry usage :p) so Duluth is still "local" for the regional. If Michigan were to replace Duluth, the NCAA would probably put them in St Louis to try to boost attendance. NoDak would be my bet to be the #1 seed in Green Bay.

Western Michigan and Notre Dame are also within driving distance.

The Green Bay and Bridgeport regionals are both comprised of teams within the magical 400-mile radius (assuming the AHA Champ is from New England or NY) and only six teams have to fly.

Merrimack? I'll take it, not because they would be easy to beat, but because the players have no NCAA experience either.

I would love for that to be the bracket. We're guaranteed a FF entrant from the ECAC, Merrimack or a repeat appearance by Atlantic Hockey. Folks out west would howl. :D

As far as bracket integrity, they are all fairly similar as far as difficulty. The only schools within driving distance (400mi) to St. Louis are Wisconsin and Notre Dame, and both will be within driving distance to Green Bay. In fact, only 6 schools will have to fly. Everyone in the Green Bay and Bridgeport Regionals will be able to bus. Michigan and Denver will have to fly regardless of where they are placed, and for nearly every school St. Louis is a flight, so this bracket is the best for travel.
