I was just playing around at SiouxSports (because I clearly have no life) and noticed they still have the 10-game requirement for TUCs. That criteria no longer exists.

Except that that "name" team could barely draw 2000 people to the Sears Centre for their own tournament, and no one had to scramble to make arrangements. Granted, an in season tourney isn't the same as the NCAAs, but I think St. Louis is going to have a problem with attendance almost no matter who is slotted there.

Unless the NCAA makes the Blues a host school, there are going to be about 16,000 empty seats. That's going to look awesome on TV.

I completely agree. St Louis is going to struggle. Saying that, it needs any and all help it can get. Notre Dame would draw more interest than say Western Michigan. Plus, it's a bus trip, and saves the NCAA a flight.

Perhaps if there are 16k+ empty seats, the NCAA will give more thought to on-campus first round series.

I was under the impression the tweaks were done prior to the season but they just didn't release the handbook till mid season

While I think UND would probably draw the best out of the current #1 seeds in St. Louis, I don't think they'd bring a ton of fans. The only way, IMO, that St Louis gets a decent turnout is if 2 out of Notre Dame, Michigan and Miami make the field and are placed in St. Louis.

St. Louis is going to have to offer free tickets to anyone walking by on the street to make it look something other than empty.

4 seeds: #13 Western Michigan within driving to Green Bay, kept the #15 UNO for in St Louis for attendance. Switched #14 BU and #16 AHA Champ to avoid Hockey East first round matchup in Manchester.

I'm new at this, so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but why wouldn't Union and Notre Dame be switched here?

Given the information we find on TBRW, my best guess would be that bracket integrity is being kept, and there's a thinking that Union wouldn't have a big enough travelling fan base to warrant moving them to an eastern site.
