That bracket has some of things that the committee <em>does not do</em>. In particular, they consider a team's seeding band to be sacrosanct. Nebraska-Omaha is a #3, UNH is a #4, and that's not going to change.

NOTHING is sacrosanct with the NC$$, with the exception of money.

I would switch Denver with Merrimack, so that the two WCHA teams that played 2 OT's not have to possibly face each other again until the FF.

I agree with you on switching #4 UNH with #3 UNO. I know that goes against the "bracket integrity" argument, but let's face it, how much difference is there, really, between #12 and #13 in the PWR. If you look at the individual comparison between UNO and UNH, they are tied with 1 comparison each, but UNH has a higher RPI. I would make the switch to keep ALL the #1 seeds in the regions where they come from. This rewards the fans of those schools in that they don't have to travel as far to see their team. I think they have earned that right.

We will see what the committee does at 11:30 AM Sunday.

Yale's in Bridgeport, period. Zero chance they go anywhere else.

Is the cut-off exactly 400 miles? Looks like Western would be just over that threshold to St. Louis, but only by about 20 miles.

WMU is 398.36 miles from the venue in St. Louis.

If the NCAA switches the UNO/UNH banding they may as well allow a UNH/BC and UND/CC first round game because they will have thrown their rules out the window. Hell, they may as well put Wisconsin in the field and make them a de facto host in Green Bay.

Had the committee not changed the rule regarding TUC, Dartmouth would be in the field and RPI would be at home.

This is my revised prediction for Miami staying at home in St. Louis. I could see the committee maybe swapping Michigan into the Green Bay bracket if they think UNO and Miami are enough to carry St. Louis and Green Bay needs help.

My original bracket was UND, Michigan and UMD in Green Bay. That would have maximized attendance. Oh well.

The official NCAA mileage calculator (https://web1.ncaa.org/TES/exec/miles) says 415.0 miles, so they would have needed to fly Western Michigan to the regional.
