You may not mean it this way but it appears that you think it is fine to cheat on your wife and kids as long as you repent. I respectfully disagree.

We dont' all cheat on our wives. We make choices every day. Your logic seems to imply that you might as well cheat on your wife 'cause you are already a sinner for swearing.

I won't try to tell you that you shouldn't believe that but don't tell me that your beliefs apply to me either. We make committments in our lives, sure we shouldn't swear but I'll trade that for the integrity of my marriage, thank you very much.

Ironically, Tiger played a sport where 99% of the players would never cheat during a match but don't all apply the same integrity to their personal lives. They wouldn't let the guy with a disability ride in a cart to preserve the integrity of the game but can't apply integrity to their marriage.

Of course, they can just repent and get a clean slate on character, integrity and honor.

I seriously doubt God considers a lie about whether or not you remembered to buy peas on the last grocery store run is equivalent to a homicide because "they wouldn't share their pretzels".

Don't minimize the gravity of the things that Tiger did in his own selfishness. We may be sinners and have faults but some are indeed more serious than others especially when done out of our callousness.

The Bible indicates otherwise...and since we all know that the Bible was faxed down to us from Heaven, we know it's true.

You can be a serial killer, but if you say you're sorry and ask forgiveness, you'll go to Heaven.

Not so fast-in the Jewish religion, God was a bit of a vindictive Mother****** who punished sinners by turning them into salt, taking their first born, and wiped out villages. Saying a few Hail Mary's did not get you back on his good side.;)

Yeah, but Vijay prolly ain't gettin any on the side...so he cheats where he can. ;)

I may be beyond reclamation but when the big day comes, if the only question is "did you cheat on your wife?" then I'm playing the front nine at Heavenly Links while Tiger is raking traps at a muni in Hades.

If swearing really offsets that then last nights BU-UVM game has me roasting for eternity.:D

As you say, we shall see.

It is true...God is nothing but a deadbeat dad who not only knocked up a virgin but knew that his bastard child would be persecuted and killed. And yet somehow he sits in judgement of me because I tell the state of Wisconsin that they are all worthless pieces of ****? Yeah uh about that...

Wisconsinites aren't worthless. To paraphrase Beavis And Butthead, if everything was cool, how would we know what is cool and what sucks? You need stuff to suck so other stuff is cool.

So, since WI exists, we use that as a barometer of what sucks (WI) and what doesn't suck (not WI). :D

True.

It wasn't the perspective that caused me to take notice...it was the inclusion of us all in that perspective. I have no desire to change his view, nor any reason to think I could.

Just offering my response and pointing out the presumption that one person, or one religion, speaks for all of us is a bit misguided.
