OK, it can stop snowing any time now. Went outside, space had been plowed but more snow covered it since it was plowed. Managed to walk over to get my car and drove it back, went up to get my shovel to clean out my spot as much as I could. It had become packed and icy. Not much to shovel, but man was it difficult. And I have no idea how I'm going to walk to the T tomorrow. Sidewalk has about 2 1/2 feet of packed snow on it. God knows when they're going to clear it.

Drove home from class yesterday in what the weenie Detroit weather guessers referred to as a "storm". Granted, we got a few inches and the roads were a little messy (trucks were slow getting out), but things were fine by rush hour this morning.

Yeah, took me an extra half hour to get home last night, M-14 was a lot better once I got out of Wayne County. Wasn't the worst I've ever driven in, but they should have been able to get it cleared enough that you could see pavement from all of the tires going over it.

Last night the forecast was 2-4" here. This morning was 3-5". I'm sure by 6PM the forecast will be up to 4-8 or 6-10". And we'll end up with either a foot or a dusting.

Looks like at least two feet, probably more. Times like these I'm reminded of the Lewis Black rant about weather forecasters

y'all are in a hole right now. heavy bands west of you in newton. it'll fill shortly.

just saw a dude come in my driveway with a plow on his truck. cleared me out for $25. money well spent.

right now, FLA is the only state of the 50 that doesn't have snow cover.

There's how you stimulate the economy. Hire Minnesotans to come out and plow, and offer taxi service.

Central Vermont has about a foot to 15 inches after we predicted to get 3-5 inches. I think the plows took the meteorologists predictions as the gospel and blew off getting out on the roads.

I-89 was a mess today as well as the access roads getting to.

The snowdrifts here are about 5' high. The wind really blew the snow around. The two feet between our shed and my car looks like it has been plowed: no snow at all. We were plowed out by a neighbor last night and about 6" blew back into the driveway.

Reports are that parts of MA got more than 3'. And there's another storm on the way!

The next storm isn't going to produce much snow (3-7") but we are due for several hours of ice which will accumulate 1/4 to 1/2". Joy.

We have ice forming on top of an inch of snow. Cleaning the car off was a breeze. It came off in chunks. The only driving problems are where they plowed. Those are icy. The rest is just easily drivable slush.

It's expected to turn to rain this afternoon. Here come the flooded basements!

It was thirty, then it was sixty, then it was ninety, then it was TWELVE! On the last day we had thunder, lightning and snow, TOGETHER! And I hadn't done drugs.

He went on one of those stock rants when he was in Lowell on April 30th when it started to snow.

We got at least 24" with that storm... And I got the day off from work! Not so today....

In MN, it's snowed 15 of 17 days this month.

We've had about 8" more snow that we usually get all year.

1 inch of ice on the roads in VA. This carries the psychological weight of 15 feet in Syracuse. Only about 10% of my office made it in today -- the ones from New York.

Still snowing steadily (though not too hard) here in Southern New Hampster. Driving was okay, other than the idiots, the roads weren't too bad. I am concerned about the switchover to ice, particularly if we get the projected 1/2" - 1".

I wore regular work shoes rather than boots, assuming that building owners/ground floor tenants along my way would have done the responsible thing and maintained their sidewalks properly. I was wrong.
