Thanks Fed. Looks like you need the "Ultimate HD" package on Verizon Fios to get non-HD CBS college sports.....:-( . It is a joke here in Mass as I end up watching WCHA and CCHA hockey that is all over Fios on Fox College Sports and the Big Ten network. Not sure if Comcast is anybetter??

Wow, that just sums up this season right there. They outplay the opponent, do pretty much everything they should and end up with 0. My only thought is they just don't have a player with a nose for the net that can change a game. After the 1st I don't think I heard Was' name called again and he is probably the closest we have to a scorer. I know Sneddon is a D guy but he has to go out a recruit an O guy!!.

Wahs didnt play in the last two periods and McCarthy never returned after his goal when a BU player took
tripped him after the goal and even with those tow out they still had control of the play 5 on 5 all night.
Parker even said in the postgame they stoled 2 points. Basically BU has more talent which is the why they
won, they surely didnt win with better effort. If we ever can get the powerplay going we might win a few games.

I thought the Cats played really well and deserved a win. Much, much better than the last game I watched against Dartmouth. But as with the first half of the season, the Cats continue to be unable to catch a break--they finally get a little puck luck on the first goal, and McCarthy ends up having to leave the game on a fluky trip. That hurt.
Anyone know what the deal was with Stacey? Was he hurt or was it just a continued lack of effort that kept him off the ice? Also, once again, it seemed Stalberg was a total non-factor. Can we send him back to Sweden? At the other end of the spectrum, Connor Brickley looked great. I'd also have to say, at this point, Nick Bruneteau is one of our best players.

This thread desperately needed a bump before we went to page 3 (have we ever gone to page 3???). Thoughts anyone? Although we've really laid some eggs this season, I do believe we're still capable of playing good hockey, as evidenced by the BU game. Hopefully, we'll get Wahs and McCarthy back (provided Wahs actually wants to play) and we can take some points this weekend so we're not left out in the cold come playoff time (hopefully it will be warmer though come playoff time). Plus, our new power play makes its debut this weekend!

Northeastern is playing tough right now, but I'm going to make a bold prediction and challenge this team (although it's not likely anyone with the capacity to act on my challenge will know of it). Accordingly, I'm going to say UVM 3-2 in game 1, and a 2-2 tie in game 2, for a 3 point weekend (for those not good in math)! Yeah, that's right, that's what I'm sayin--I'm layin down the gauntlet! So put that in your pipe and smoke it Hockey East! THE CATS ARE BACK!!!!!!!! (with a vengeance).

Getting a win is much needed, a bit hard to get excited given the season so far but a much needed win. The Cats have had a decent go if it lately, however they eeked out wins over a few ecac teams winning despite a lack luster effort and execution at times. Unfortunately that was followed by a real solid effort against BU that resulted in the puck luck that plagued them the first half and led to a dismal team attitude and record. Given the win and what sounds like a pretty solid effort by the cats against NU, it's nice to see them put together two solid efforts in a row. NU had been playing well and the Cats took it to them. A good road win against a decent team. Considering the lopside nature of the schedule this season the Cats can get on a run here and make some moves in HE. Currently, tied for 8th with games in hand on most teams, but they need to finish strong. Stalberg now has 7 points in 6 games... seems to have found a bit of a scoring touch and that's desperately needed. All in all good win for the Cats, how they respond tonight I think will be the tell all tale of how this season finishes out. Was it a one game fluke like the win against BC? Or have they begun righting the ship and will compete in the playoffs at the end of the season. They should, UML will do their part and PC can't win after January but UVM needs to up the intensity a notch while remaining disciplined. They have played well at ES. PK has been a killer for them. Go Cats !

Good game last night thou they took to many penalties which only cost them 1 goal so the PP totals were a push, if they can do that
more often they should start seeing more W's. Watched the game on Northeasterns service and they need to teach the camera guys how
to follow the puck, also the annoucers were a 9 on the homer scale. Sure you expect loyalty but they kept saying things like " Boy we should
be up 3 or 4 goals the way were playing if we could just hit all of these empty nets". Maybe he was referring to all the empty seats, same
in Lowell last night thou with 2 Umass teams playing against each other I dont see how you can have such a empty rink.

Vermont played without leading scorer Wahsontiio Stacey, who is suspended for missing several manatory team functions this week, according to Sneddon. Stacey had been listed day-to-day with a head injury
Sounds like he will be the next departure.
