The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Looks like your guy's rebirth is having is temporary abortion. Hopefully UMD can complete the abortion tomorrow. :D

So last year's national champion squeaks by last year's last place HE team, and one of the lowest ranked in the country by all measures, and you are gloating?

Haha, no. I am just kidding. 5 to 2 is squeaking by?

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

You're supposed to win by more, remember?
Cripes, try to keep up
PC is much improved and UMD has lost 3 in a row. I wouldn't be surprised if UMD came away with a split this weekend...

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Well, if they are going to beat UMD, I'd prefer that it be tonight when Mrs. Jon and I will be in attendance. But I realy wasn't expecting to win this weekend, even after last weekend. It's a work in progress.

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Tie with the National Champs? 2-1-1 after 4 games? SO far its beating the hype!

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

And the next game is at the Graveyard of PC hockey up in Orono.

Where is biddco tonight?

Here! Disappointed we gave up the lead, but happy with "three points". I told you i would be not surprised with a split! A tie is close enough. PC should not finish in last place in HE. Vermont and UNH (the spooning states) look to be near the bottom.

Vermont looks like a team that might only win 10 games this year. They're either that bad or Minnesota is that good because the gophers absolutely dominated them on Friday night.

Props to the Friars on the tie. Glad tDogs got out without a loss.

Ciskie claimed it was the smallest crowd he's ever seen at a D1 hockey game. Estimated 700 or so fans actually in attendance... what's up with that?

Thats a typical Providence crowd sadly enough. That is how bad things have been around here for the last 5 years.

Wasn't Friday a much better showing? It takes fans a year or two to get back on a bandwagon

Friday night was better but still not a good turnout. Seems to me the attendance numbers are always inflated for some reason. Also more students turned out on Friday night. I believe the fans are gonna start coming again with the way these guys are playing, it is fun to watch. The Providence journal gave them a nice piece today about the new coach and the team. A few more wins and they will come out to see this team once again.

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Friday nite was bribe nite.....if the students attended they got an early pass to the Bucketball early practice, too bad they won't attend with out a stipend, maybe an appeal to the juniors and high school teams with a buy one get one or some other incentive would help.......I have heard the sound system is decent, finially
