The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

This is definitely the rebirth of PC hockey......great for the entire program and fantastic for our seniors who have gone to h*ll and back again, enjoy the ride you earned it

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

I just got back and I am still thrilled!!!!!!! A 1-0 shut out over the #7 team in the country!

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

WOW!!! Big time congratulations!!! It'll be nice to see some new faces at the Garden. See ya next Friday night!

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Great job Friars!!!

You've played with heart all season and struggled through growing pains and some key injuries. Job well done by the coaching staff and the players.

It's exciting to get the Garden and it will be fun to see some of the old faces pulling for the Friars in Boston. Nice to be going back after 11 years!!!

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Way to go, Friars!! Amazing what less shots on shin and less dump and chase will do for a team! maybe coahing does make a difference!

Best fans in college hockey!

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

One of the best games I've seen in a while. I even missed the goal because the ticket lines were so long. Great defensive effort by the friars. I decided to take my PC jersey out of retirement and I'm glad I did. Getting sworn at and told to "go home" on my way out of the rink was a great feeling.

Really looking forward to the game on Friday, but a little disappointed we have the 5pm slot. I'm sure the time isn't going to help attendance. I'd hope PC is having buses to bring students up?(not sure if it's spring break). Not all that confident of our odds against BC, but hey it's the garden!

Congrats to the Friars... what an amazing series your team played. I will be cheering for you in the HE tourney. Best of luck!

The top seed always plays in the 5pm game.

I remember being late in '96 too struggling to get through Boston traffic to get there on time, the hour isn't helpful on a Friday.

Congrats to my Friar Friends to the south. As a MC guy, I wish you guys nothing but the best on Friday night. Wish I could have been there!!! It always helps when you have a Merrimack Alum (and my old roommate) as your goalie coach. Way to go McNiff!!! Kick some Eagle ***** :)

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Congrats to your boys on their play during the entire series. Great to see that your seniors at least get to make a trip to the Garden as well. Good luck!

It's been that way for a few years now. The reasoning is the #1 seed always plays the early game because it gives them more "rest" since they have to play the next night. One of the perks you get for being #1. Originally it was a "TV decision" (meaning they would put what they considered the "feature" game on in prime time), but the league decides now.

It's clear HE fans are sick of BC winning...you'll certainly have Maine and BU fans on your side ;)

It's spring break, so no busses. A lot of students are interested in going though, so we'll have something that resembles a crowd.

Re: The rebirth of Providence College Hockey

Anyone know about tickets at the school?

Call them now. Tickets went on sale at 12p if you are going through PC. The ticket office was VERY helpful. I spoke with Tony and he couldn't have been nicer! Go Friars!!!
