The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

Re: The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

Beautiful, politically, and largely irrelevant.

Below is a link from which the CNN story was drawn.

The numbers refer to a study done about people with conditions which were likely considered "preexisting conditions" under standards used pre-ACA. However, as noted in the study, the vast majority of those people already had coverage through employers or medicaid, so the numbers were pretty meaningless.

They are even more meaningless now, in all likelihood, since according to you the ACA pretty much wiped the slate clean of those who were uninsured before its passage.

Looks like the GOP was right...there is Death Panels only they are the ones serving on it ;)

BTW Scooby, Paulsen decided to break his silence and posted his press release on Facebook. People in his district are pretty ticked off. (it tells when they live in his district) A bunch of them are linking to sites to donate to any Dem who runs in his district :D I am also pretty sure based on his comments he never read the bill at all.

I still have to ask...if ObamaCare is so bad why are the Congressmen and their families/staff keeping it? Why do their pre-existing conditions matter than anyone else's?

The Senate is completely screwed here.

The Boomers are going to be hit super hard by this...I am sure they will just ignore it though. Boomers are known for accepting change and not getting their way amirite? ;)

Be so glad when he's gone

It should be noted that in addition to the big vote, the House also voted (unanimously) to remove their exemption from the AHCA today. They deserve to be hammered(figuratively, and possibly literally) for what they did today, but it is important to be accurate about it.

And kill them before they are born is the Democrats.
Republicans don't give two sh**s once the child is born. WIC funding? Who needs that. Planned Parenthood for affordable checkups of the child (because PP ISN'T all abortions, all the time)? They're the Devil. Education assistance? Should have been born with a silver spoon like the ideal Republicans.
