Oh my god. These two vote-f_cked on the floor yesterday. Ew.

And kill them before they are born is the Democrats.

I'd rather people be properly educated about sex and have easy access to contraception so the unwanted pregnancy doesn't happen in the first place. Personally, I want to reduce the number of abortions, but I don't want to prohibit them. Sometimes they are medically necessary, and sometimes birth control fails and I don't think it is fair to force a woman to be an incubator for an unwanted child.

I hope you are proud of yourself. Your party is going to kill thousands (and I'm talking actual people, not clumps of cells).

Is that his actual page? I'll give him credit for not turning off Comments.

There should be a mock page for every Member. It would be a great way to shame the little f-ckers.

Yeah...he just had to brag about passing the bill and the comments on the press release destroy him. People on both sides basically saying he should prepare to be voted out. Also lots of stories from women and older people he just screwed over.

The best bit was someone mentioning his sex trafficking bill...now all those sex traffickers can be denied insurance (or get ridiculously high rates) because they were almost certainly raped, have diseases, probably got pregnant and have PTSD and drug issues. Nice work...

Re: The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

The Senate's reaction to the bill (Republicans) is comical.

Well, Lee and Paul want straight repeals, while 7-8 Repubs (Collins, Cassidy, Heller, Portman, Gardner, Murkowski and Cotton(?!) ) didn't like the Medicaid elimination in March, much less what else got tacked on since.

So the House Bill would have 43-44 Senate votes as is. So yeah, that's probably not happening.

Instead of "sex traffickers" I think you meant "victims of trafficking"

Dame Nancy was giving people something (and at least that was researched for months unlike this monstrosity which was plowed through like the rape victims insurance now wont cover) these trolls are robbing people of something. You can pretend they are the same but they arent. (that doesnt excuse her either mind you but this is worse)

Everyone Should Read These Tweets

We have a few people around here that like to be snarky about the "Evil Republicans" because they think we are over the top about it...stuff like this abortion of a Health Care Plan are why you look like a fool when you do that.

As for babies...Republicans want live babies so they can have dead soldiers. Carlin said it years ago and it is even more true now.
You do realize this is not the law of the land yet, right?

Re: The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster

It does give us wonderful insight to how ****ed up republicans are.
There are three important numbers to remember here -- 2018, 241, and 8.

The first number is the year of the next election. The second number is the number of Republican seats up for election out of the House of Representatives. The third number is the number of Republican Senate seats up for election.

The Senate will blow this thing up. House Republicans will tell the base they did what they could to fulfill their campaign promises. Meanwhile, no one's insurance will have changed.

Concur.

can some congressperson file a bill for 'freedom under car insurance repeal' (***'irs)? mookie doesn't want to be forced to buy car insurance. mookie doesn't like to have to subside bad drivers. mookie never wrecks his car and the burden of paying car insurance impacts his welfare.

And people will vote them back in remembering how awesome it was to see white men drinking Bud Light in the Rose Garden.

You do realize this is not the law of the land yet, right?

You do realize they still want it to be right? You do realize that talking out against it is a great to prevent it right?

You are right though, we should just shut up and not worry about it. We can trust the Republicans not to do this...

Maybe you are right...but until that happens I will make sure every day people remember what is at stake. This isnt over until Trump stops pushing it and you know it.

Re: The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

And most importantly, Trump got to sit and drink beer and eat cake with House Republicans while claiming a win.

I would have thought Trump would drink Champagne and fly them all down to Mar-a-Lago ;)

Re: The PPACA Thread Part IV - Repeal & Replace, or Something...

There's a lot to fight for cause the Senate can use reconciliation to pass it. I hope they do.

Paul Ryan wanted to return to his old frat days of drinking horse **** and talk about screwing the poor. Now he got to do it at the White House

The Leadership wants to pass it through reconciliation (which means it has to be before the CBO completely destroys it since this wont pass muster on revenue and debt issues) so they need to get to 50. I know plenty of Senators right now are saying they dont support but none of them have shown the stones to stand up to Trump unless their vote didnt count.

If they stall then that tells me they wont pass it. If they seem to be moving at non-turtle speeds then all bets are off.

Which is why it is important for people (despite how much it apparently gives SJHovey the red ***) to make sure they keep informed and keep making their opinions heard. Unlike most of the Reps Senators tend to actually talk to the public and they get kind of unnerved when people chant stuff at their rallies. Ask Lindsay Graham how he felt when talk of tax reform lead to "Your last term!" chants a month ago ;)
