Good to know some people want to fly into Bangor

Perfect.

Actually, it really isn't. Unless you're eating uncooked bushmeat, handling those who are or were infected (or having sex with someone who is or was infected) AND you weren't practicing the most basic of hygienic procedures such as gloves, washing hands, maintaining a clean environment and work setting. This isn't an airborne virus. It's a contact virus. And it's only spread when someone is symptomatic.
Well, I think the CDC and WHO can be considered the world's foremost experts on it. They aren't panicking yet.
You know, I hate to keep forcing you knucks' to eat sh !t on this issue (okay, I don't really hate to do so) but another of your talking points just bit the dust, this one about how many people have paid in full.
Of the 8M signed up over 90% - 7.3M to be exact, are in fact enrolled and paid up.

So, righties, I invite you all to step up and revisit your "BUT NOBODY'S ACTUALLY PAYING THE PREMIUMS" argument in light of these facts.
Don't worry. My son has been paying his premiums (via payroll deduction), but the insurance company has no record of him. He's in consultations with his HR office to figure out what is wrong. If, in fact, he's has not been enrolled, should he get his premiums refunded?
I still don't like PPACA as it is an unwarranted intrusion by the Federal government into something the states ought to be regulating. And, somewhere along the line, the costs are going to skyrocket (mainly due to the bureaucracy designed to support it).
Sooo....your (or your son's) problem is with the insurance company, not the ACA, correct???But somehow that's Obama's fault, right?
No - I blame the Congre$$ for writing an awful piece of legislation that has more waivers than Bill Veeck in his heyday.
2nd paragraph of my original post. The first para relates that my kid may be uninsured after paying premiums. Sort of opposite of those who have signed up for insurance without paying.I'm just not following your line of reasoning. You don't like the Congress written ACA because an insurance company screwed up an enrollment. What does that have to do with the law, unless you think private insurers never had bureaucratic screwups until the law got enacted...
Who wants to live forever?

Interesting article. Some I do not agree with, but it is thought provoking.
I finally found an accurate and easy-to-understand problem with the architecture of PPACA: the authors want everyone to have access to above-average healthcare while they also want everyone to pay below-average premiums.
It might be the case that in Lake Wobegon, everyone is above average, but when you have a wider population....

And here I thought conservatives faith in the free market bringing down prices for consumers was unshakable.
I wonder how Zeke will feel about his thinking on the eve of his 75th birthday? will he have hemlock tea that evening? or change his mind once he's gotten that far?
If you had actually read the article, you would know that he's not in favor of legalizing euthanasia or assisted suicide, and feels that people who want to kill themselves are depressed and in need of mental health services. So if he makes it to the eve of his 75th, I'm pretty sure he's not going to off himself. His point is that for the vast majority of humans, the quality of one's life begins to decline around that time. Would you rather die in your sleep at 75 having lived a happy and mostly healthy life, or would you prefer the long, slow, painful Ronald Reagan exit where you spend the last 10 years of your life unable to recall your accomplishments, and barely able to recognize your own wife and children? I know my answer to that question, but that doesn't mean I'm going to swallow my trusty 20 gauge come December 28, 2061.
