Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

Well, me and perhaps the Redline Report that had NCHC teams in 3 of the top 4 spots...

1. North Dakota (NCHC).

2. Miami (NCHC).

3. Minnesota (B1G).

4. Denver (NCHC).

5. Harvard (Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference).

6. Ohio State (B1G).

7. Vermont (Hockey East).

8. Cornell (ECAC).

9. Northeastern (HEA).

Interesting, although that is from January. I would imagine North Dakota and Miami's defections to Canada would knock us down a bit though, but perhaps not out of the "Top 4".

You guys still have the Tim Tebow of hockey coming in, so how could you not be #1?

Those are the current conference reprentations?

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

There are probably people in the LTHC wondering how the hell they ended up with Western Michigan and St. Cloud instead of Notre Dame. :D

With today's announcement by the NCHC, no. It is something I can finally respect about the NCHC. Have fun being Notre Dame's *****. :p

This was a total PR move so it looks like the LTHC said no to Notre Dame. If you buy it, I've got some ocean front property in South Dakota for you.

Re: The new Super League is going down the tubes.

Come on, nobody actually thinks the NCHC would say no thank you to Notre Dame do they?

I'd like to know what Notre Dame's stipulations were. Cause it has been publicly noted that Notre Dame was up until today, negotiating with the NCHC.

If it was simply over that local TV deal that ND had, then I would have no trouble saying that the NCHC screwed the pooch on this. However, gotta think it was more that since you would think that the NCHC schools would be willing to give certain allowances to Notre Dame but only to a certain extent.

You have to realize there is a militant Lutheran contingent that carries a lot of influence in the NCHC.

Also here are some tweets by College Hockey News:
A little more on what we mean ... ND preferred NCHC ... neither side was willing to budge on what was important to them ... so ...

... ND was going to just go to HEA, and that would make it seem like that was their first choice ... NCHC doesn't want that impression ...

... instead, pre-emptively releases that they are the ones that decided ... which again, not the whole truth ... A PR game basically.

So Mr. Priceless, in a way you are somewhat right. I give you that.

Notre Dame rejects superstardom?

Wow. Western Michigan/SCSU > Notre Dame. Right?
