I think UAH should have been given "extra" points for slugging it out as the only sub-Mason Dixon line DI team, particularly for its 5 national championships outside of DI (and PSU tries to claim one of those, from 1984), not to mention its poor treatment as of late.

Before I enter my guess, are you going to adjust the formula to consider the greatness that is BC and extrapolate their output if Jerry York rightfully had 30 yrs at the school as Head Coach?!?

:D

It would be interesting to see the same formula applied to head coaches... especially the multi-institution guys.

The formula could easily be applied to head coaches...and as I said in an earlier post...I was planning on doing it as well. I will probably do it this summer though.

Some of the rankings may hinge on how FS23 credits WCHA Playoff titles. Someone older correct me if I'm wrong (Puck Swami?) but from 1960-1980 the WCHA had two playoff 'winners' except for '62-'65 and '77. In that era, even the years with a single winner, those teams were not labeled 'WCHA Playoff Champions' or given a trophy or anything, the playoffs were merely to determine NCAA births. Whether or not he gave credit to pre-1981 playoff 'winners' could really help or hurt the WCHA teams.

Not a guess of the top 10, but I'd bet Maine would be near or at the top of the list of points per season played.

Re: The Greatest Programs of All-Time: #1 - #58

I must have missed something earlier in this thread, I didn't read the whole thing, only saw a couple of posts earlier on that topic. Don't mean to turn this into a Fire/Keep Timmay tangent.
