Agreed. A point today and the USA still control their destiny.

That being said, I think we are probably slight underdogs to advance if we only draw...although maybe Jurgen can work something out to where we just line up around the center circle and kick the ball around for 90 minutes against Germany assuring that both squads advance with 5 points.

It sure would be nice to be up 3-0 after 36 minutes again. :p:D:D

No, FIFA only promotes the highest-level of ethics in their doings. No shady underhanded dealings are ever allowed in the world of international soccer.

During the anthems of today's opening game, they showed Kaiser Sepp when playing the Russian National Anthem. I thought it was appropriate.

And it looks like Belgium is through 1 -0 over Mother Russia.

If we did that, FIFA would punish us. God forbid it's be done plenty of other times. However, they'll "make an example" of us.

I just watched the replay of the Messi goal scored in the 91st minute against Iran. I can't believe fans of a team that's ranked as one of the best in the world went that crazy after being required to score a goal in extra time to beat one of the worst teams in the tournament. What were those fans thinking?

Come here to talk Futbol, make a point that it seems as if making an interent video of a ton of celebrations seems a little too much for the first game of the WC for our team. Unless you think the team is so bad that the game result was more than you expect.

And just get mocked for it. Great.

Can always count on boards to completely understand a point...

I guess having reasonable expectations is a bad thing anymore.
