The 2nd Term - Round 2 - Amensty for Some, Miniature AR-15s for Others...

A boar hunt is ok, but I hate the method again. I have rels in LA and AR and it's like the English using dogs to flush out foxes and pop 'em with little effort. There's not sport in it.

Wild boar is an invasive and destructive beast - it needs to be culled whatever way possible, just like the boa constrictors in Florida and GA - all is fair in that war.

I agree 100% - I just don't equate culling the herd in the usual manner with sport.

Well, its not really hunting, its shooting. Doesn't seem like it would be as much fun as hunting. We have to shoot cows on the farm, bad cases where we have to put one out of its misery, or in some cases where we have one that is so bat**** crazy that it jumps fences and cannot be loaded on a trailer to be taken to market. Its a necessity, not a sport.

Hunting....one hunt that I would LOVE to do one day is a boar hunt down in Texas. That would be fun, and everything I've heard about boar meat is that it is excellent.

Either I didn't explain it or you're missing my point. These clowns call it a hunt. They think they're Ramar of the Jungle, shooting big cats that have been hand raised and given up by their owners. Shoot a pet lion or tiger then have a couple of Jax beers and congratulate yourself on what a big deal white hunter you are. Pass. It's obscene. The animals these guys pay to assassinate don't need to be put out of their misery. They need to be put in zoos.

"Look Lon, I just shot me a lion."

bwahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!

check out the MA 4th congressional district and get back to me!! :D

Ummm....mookie, the Dem House candidates got a million and a half more votes than the Republican ones. The ONLY reason why there is still a GOP house majority is gerrymandering. Why else would a party who's popularity rivals used car salesmen be able to hold onto anything at this point?

Funny story - my uncle owns a 3200 acre ranch/game refuge in northern Arkansas - he has a few buddies who he allows to deer hunt out there. Anyway as the season was approaching the set up bait areas to see what deer were in the area with trail cams. When they went to check the trail cams, they found that there was a boar pack of 6-8 (very rare that boar are found in AR). Anyway the called the Game Warden and asked what they should do? So the Game Warden tells them - kill them anyway possible. They are like rats, if you see one there are 10, kill them at will. So my uncle (he has a Federal Firearms license) takes out his German MG-42 . Loads it up and goes and sits it on the hill over looking 2 of the bait areas. He and one of the deer hunters sit out there for a few hours and eventually hear the pigs and spot them with a night scope. Lets just say there were 5 carcasses that were recognizable as boar and bits and pieces of several others.

You are a special kind of moron aren't you??? Each congressional distinct is make up of roughly the same size in population. If you take 2 congressional districts one is a rural district where the republican wins 51-49 and the other is a dark blue inner city libtard district where the dem wins 92-8. Even the dumbest Californian can tell you that 92% of X is more than 51% of X. So yes if Republicans win close races and Libtards continue to win their districts by large amounts. it is all too possible for you idiot folk to get more votes yet not come close to winning the house. **** you are dumb sunshine.

I'm surprised that...with you and all other hunters flocking to AK 47s due to their obvious superiority...just how any other rifle makers can stay in business.

So about those nine campers who have been killed in California by stray hunting bullets in the last ("reported") six months alone, I'll again specify that the direct link to that information would be appreciated.

If you were delayed by having to strap on the kevlar for that heinous morning commute down 394, I fully understand, but I'd also prefer not to have to drop in and ask you to back up your pitiful claim for a fourth time.

btw, how did you like learning to skate out on the old family pond, or did you make that part up, too?

And you just described the end result of gerrymandering. You create lots of districts where you win with 54-55 percent, and a few districts where the other side wins with 90 percent.

In your state, how many house votes went to the dem candidate vs the rep candidate?

You are absolutely right, since our population is spread evenly per square mile, and randomly by political persuasion, the outcomes of the hypothetical are clearly the result of actual gerrymandering.

Sharp as a bowlin' ball.

Rover

Check out the Maryland congressional districts. They were done to keep the GOP out. It worked.

don't even bother... he just keeps repeating the same lie over and over and after a while they think it'll become fact.

musta been the talking point on lib radio! :D

Re: The 2nd Term - Round 2 - Amensty for Some, Miniature AR-15s for Others...

Ok, propose wording for a rule that allows hunters to continue to use semi-automatic guns (as there are good reasons for them to do so, as demonstrated repeatedly in this thread) and yet would make a lick of difference when it comes to shootings in gun-free zones. 20 years on the clock...starts...NOW!

I would be happy to...cept that nobody has shown me that semi automatics or high capacity clips are better for hunting. If they're not better for hunting, but better for mass killing rampages...what's the point?

So what percentage of these supposedly better semi automatic hunting rifles are actually 'better'? Would you say 70%? Let's see...

When you've finished dictating what firearms hunters can use, perhaps you could turn your attention to golf clubs, fishing rods and bowling balls.

As far as your (endlessly repeated) moronic mantra: "better for hunting/better for mass killing" I see two alternatives. You're trolling. Or you're dain bramaged. I don't see a viable third option. Personally, I hope you're trolling. The alternative is truly scary. It's up to you, of course, but once in a while you might try being serious, just for the change of pace.

I recall how you became an expert on "stand your ground" in an instant after the Martin shooting, offering endless links and off point "examples" of what a travesty of justice that law is. In the case at hand, hiding behind some articles from magazines you've probably never heard of, let alone read, may make you feel informed. It "don't".

GopherBigDumbGuy, you seem like yet another butthurt conservative who's angry that liberals wiped their @_ss with his face yet again so you think getting armed to the teeth will somehow even up the score. First shower off and get that stuff off of you, and then next realize you're a dinosaur following a failed ideology. How many times do you idiots needs to get humiliated in national elections before you figure it out? BTW - don't get too crazy with those firearms or the nice men from the gubmint will be stopping by to have a chat with you.

He needed me to put him in his place. Happy to do so free of charge!

Bottom line on redistricting is simple. In the last election Obama won by 4 points and 5 million votes. Yet on a Congressional district basis Mittens would have won the election. That's gerrymandering. I'm not accusing the GOP of doing anything underhanded. All of their efforts were done in compliance with federal law, and as a Dem I say don't get mad, get even. However, only a fool would mistake one good election (2010) which luckily coincided with the 10 year requirement to redraw districts with some sort of GOP mandate. The party is as popular as jock itch. In a fair district election, they'd be screwed. No worries though, as the utter idiocy of the Boner, Ryan and Cantor show will most likely ensure a Dem President to succeed the O.

Rovie, ol boy, you lost this argument quite some time ago - I advise you give up the sham.:D The bottom line is simple (and you're smart enough that you can stop pretending you didn't know this). The reason the lib media outrage of the day being the "gerrymandering" scare (no doubt designed and put into action by Dick Cheney and the eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevilscary Koch brothers (TM)) is pure nonsense is that it takes the natural result of rural districts and states being conservative, and the inner cities being liberal, and confuses it with some scary conservative master plan. Nonsense. It's just that the idiots too stupid to get out of the inner cities are the only ones still voting for liberals in majority numbers. It's not rocket science or some vast twisted conspiracy that the media would have us believe. Again, it's time to admit this one is a big loser for you. Tell "DailyKOS" they can have their poorly designed talking point back for overhaul and redesign. :)
