And they did a great job of killing them off. For a while, Maine couldn't keep possession in the offensive zone. For such a good pp team (statistically anyway) the pp looked atrocious at times. Give The Mack plenty of credit for that though.

Maybe we can get James to enact a special goalie running rule only for Maine. Might as well get something useful out of him while he's on the rules committee....

The Mack impressed me in Orono last month and again last night. I think Denneghy is a very good coach. They always seem to play scrappy, hard nosed hockey, which is something Maine lacks. When he arrived at The Mack, his teams didn't win many, but were always tough to play. Now that he has lured some talent to town, the w's are starting to follow. Maybe Maine could pry away Denneghy? I would love his hardazz, no bs approach behind the bench. Wouldn't u? Although with the way The Mack is playing, he best stay put.

Yep. After a pretty strong start, TIMMAY's decided he needs to put his imprint opn the team, tighten things up a bit, get everybody ready for the postseason, coach the boys to play his 'system'. Don't be too aggressive and take penalties, don't overcommit and let the break go the other way, don't get caught in deep , etc. He's overcoached them top the point where every move they make, they're second guessing themselves, "am I making a mistake, should I lay back, should I go after this guy or fall back", no longer playing the game instinctively and just letting things happen.
Timid, hesitant play, always wondering if what you're doing is correct(for TIMMAY) or should you do something else instead. TIMMAY hockey.
