For the Minnesota fans...

Absolutely clean hit and Mitchell read the play the entire way. Of course the Blackhawks had to start sh-t after it. Whatever.

reminds me of campbells hit on umberger. Easy to say skate with your head up, but I bet most of us couldn't get an outlet pass like that looking forward. He got clipped at the right time

Exactly. Skating with your head up while you have the puck is one thing, but if you're catching a pass that's in your feet or too far ahead of you, you're gonna look down. It looked like Mitchell had just come out of the penalty box too, so Toews probably had no idea he was there, plus the pass was coming from the opposite direction. Clean hit, but it wasn't really Toews fault for not seeing Mitchell coming.

"Let the Wild rumpus start" might be one of the most awkward lines anyone's had to say.

Second only to pronouncing Byfuglien... it's sort of fitting that he would have to say that line.

(Cue up the Chicago commercial where Byfuglien's "One Goal" is to make his last name "a household name," and a little kid on the ice with him spells it out correctly.)

Bruins and Flyers tied at 2, this game is getting good. Nice to see the B's hanging in there considering everything

Ah, that's more like it. Sharks getting owned by Tampa Bay backup goaltender Mike Smith.

If teams all played their backups, the Sharks would probably make a run at their franchise record worst season of 24 points.

Nabby's had a stellar night too.

No kidding. I better see Greiss Saturday night. It's apparently too much to ask to find out what we actually have in net before we commit more years and millions to a guy who'll be 35 and on the downswing.

Philly wins 4-3 in a shootout. Rask looked great tonight but the team is still flat. They are sloppy coming out of their own and don't move the puck up ice very well. It was a fun game to watch, its never easy to win in Philly, so I am happy with the 1 point. This season feels a lot like 07-08.

Well, that was not the start I wanted to my hockey weekend. Impressive game by Phoenix though, they look like a different team compared to the last couple of years.

The DT was the wrong place for the Wild fan and the Red Wing hater from my house to be watching the game. We got a lot of dirty looks when we started clapping after the OT goal.

That happened to me many times. I was there one of the years they were the top seed in the playoffs and choked, cheering for the other team. People weren't happy. It was awesome.

I was at the Flyers-Bruins game last night. First period was deadly dull: trap versus trap. Second and third periods picked up although there was still a lot of neutral zone play. Both goalies looked solid. Emery had to bail out the Flyers D a couple times. Flyers got 39 SOG, which is unusual for them, but the name players on the Flyers (Gagne, Carter) looked listless.

Surprisingly very few Bruins fans in attendance. We usually get more.

Yeah, cheering against the "local" powerhouse team anywhere, in any sport, is going to earn you some dirty looks. Cheering against the Wings in the average Michigan bar is no exception.

It's like wearing a Pens jersey in Philly, except there's less potential for boneheaded violence.

Heh. I got dirty looks from my friends simply because I wanted to stay long enough after game 7 to actually see the Cup. I didn't actually openly cheer either way. There were about 8 people of 40ish watching the game left for that.

A lot of people are calling it a dirty hit but it looked clean today. He led with the shoulder, yeah it was a little high, but its a fast game. Can't watch those drop passes Mr. Booth.
