AMC you need to take that deal, the guy is trying to be too cute and he's ripping himself off.

Do it so Ehrhoff can win a championship this year! It's his only hope!

Watching the Caps-Sharks game on NHL Network (Caps feed), they put up a graphic showing the top 5 teams in points last year.

#3 was Datroit

Can't remember what year it was, but in the playoffs there was a game where the tickets said "Detriot Red Wings" on them.

It was a Detroit home game.

Nick Lidstrom with two assists tonight hits the 1,000 point mark for his career. He's the 8th defenseman to hit the mark and the first European to do so.

Just got back from the game... San Jose is a friggen SOFT team. I'm amazed even softer than last year. Both Thornton and Heatley were ghosts.

The Caps don't have what I'd call a bruising defense either.

In other news, water is wet. :p ;)

Did that trade referenced below.

It was interesting, half the league immediately said "How do I veto this? You can't have Crosby and Ovechkin!"

The other half said "Why would you make that trade? You went for the big name!"

Sabres scored 12 goals in their past two games (chasing the starting goalie in both of them), bumping their goal total from 4 in 3 games to 16 in 5 games.

Also, they are the only team to have not lost a game in regulation.

At least there is one good team in the NHL's Northeast Division.

Boston trades Chuck Kobasew to Minnesota for Craig Weller, a 2nd round pick and the rights to Alex Fallstrom.

Weller can be a bruiser, and I know nothing of Fallstrom. Therefore, I don't really know what to think here.

I should have known that bragging about my Sabres would bring about ruin. Why Lindy started that P.O.S. Lalime against the Thrashers when he knew that he was going to sit Miller for one of these games, and the Isles were the other one, is beyond me. But, I'm not the coach, so it's not my call.
