Sounds like he's a few fries short of a Happy Meal. If he's the shooter, let's crank up Ol' Sparky for this guy or import him to Utah and let their wonderful firing squad get some practice.

It has nothing to do with her political views. She was a member of Congress meeting with her constituents, participating in Americans' right to "redress grievances" and "peaceably assemble" when she was shot in the back of the head. Out of all the portions of the Constitution she could have read, it is ironic that she randomly read that part.

ok... I'll admit to the brainfart... usually I only end up thinking about the first few words of the amendment since those are the ones that come up so often.

Turns out Federal District Judge John Roll was killed as well. He was involved in immigration cases and had received death threats. Wonder if he was the real target.

Indications are he just happened to be there shopping and stopped to say hello to the Congresswoman. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

At this point I think her status as a congresswoman may be more of a factor than specific positions held by the congresswoman. I doubt the judge has anything to do with it unless he was the headliner. We'll see how it evolves.

My guess: This guy was a loner, was buying something at Safeway, saw that the Congresswoman was having a Meet and Greet there, went home and posted his good-byes, got his gun and went to the supermarket to shoot her and anyone else who was there. He probably assumed he would be killed, not arrested.

Yeah, that's very plausible. I don't think it's out of the question that there was a bit more premeditation involved though.

I'm very interested as to how the other suspects that they've arrested factored into this, if at all.

Yeah...that's one of the things that don't fit my theory... Accomplices. It'll be very interesting to hear how they figure into this.

Edit: Also, how his reference to the Arizona 8th Congressional District in his videos is relevant.

Now he's insisting that he's acted alone according to police, and the police are also saying their supposed search for an accomplice wasn't what it was made out to be.

CNN is reporting that one of the deceased is Gabe Zimmerman, a staffer for the Congresswoman.

In other news, there are some real loons out there:
If he was in the armed services,theres a good chance he had a chip implant just like Oswald,Timmy and the rest.They were scapegoats for the controllers.
