Another stellar outing by Mike Lee. Although, according to Lyons, there was probably only 2 out of 7 that were'nt his fault. Dunn just keeps on winning, even though he obviously is not a good goalie. :D

I didn't see the game so I have no idea how he played. I have a feeling it is going to stop for the playoffs. I wonder if Dunn wins Friday at Mankato if he will come back with him saturday if they need that win to hold a certain spot in the standing?:eek:

Lyons was making excuse after excuse for Lee. Sure he was hung out to dry a number of times but you can't let ALL of those in. 7 goals? 13 the last two outings? I think the writing is on the wall but would be willing to bet we'll see the rotation against Kato again.

Nice job by the Badgers tonight. They buried their chances and played very well on special teams. Hopefully both Raboin and Geoffrion are okay.

13 goals in two games, Blais was full of @#$% when he said that the Huskies were going to win a championship with him. Put him on the bench Bob and keep him there!!

Aaron Marvin has now successfully taken out two different WCHA captains with cheap shots to the head this season. I'm sensing a trend. Kid is a dirty player.

The St. cloud radio guy said it was a clean hit. He also said the hit on Raboin should have been 5 minutes. I didn't see either so I have no way of knowing...Anybody have a link?

I hate to say it, but this series could make me like UW more. First time I saw the place, nice arena, cool fans both in the rink and in the bars after. As much as I wanna dislike them, they're making it very hard.

Nice win tonight to UW, hope we see you guys in the Final 5 or even more in the NCAAs.

.... cause that would mean we made it out of the first round... You see? You see what I did there?

Marvin BLATANTLY checks Geoffrion in the head.

As for Raboin, Bendickson had his stick in his back and Raboin lost his balance and Bendi just kept pushing and he fell awkwardly into the boards. Not a check from behind.

But, I'm obviously biased.

I heard the post game radio interview with Coach Eaves and he said the explaintion from the refs was that Geoffrion was hit in the face!, Eaves replied that "isn't the face attached to the head?!!":eek:

Got to love stupid refs:mad:

Was it a cheap shot?- No, I don't think it was. Was it illegal?- Definitely. Marvin basically got his hands too high when he was going for an open ice hit. Happens quite a bit. Now Roe cross checking Brendan Smith in the side of his head when he wasn't looking was definitely a cheap shot and wouldn't be suprised if Roe had to sit out a game.

The Badger defense has looked terrible in the last 3 games. That's not gonna cut it down the stretch.

I would agree with this. One time and maybe it's an error in judgment, but I sense a trend as well now that it's later in the season. As a player, you just need to be more aware of your positioning. Maybe I'm biased. That said, I hope Blake is okay and that he will be able to play next weekend. Wish I could say the same for Chay, but things are what they are.

Just got to this point in the game on the replay. Hit was most definitely illegal.
I don't think it was a case of Marvin simply getting his hands too high either.

I just saw it again on the tape delay and I don't think it was cheap. Ron Vincent even said it's on the border of being legal/illegal let alone cheap.

He didn't push him from behind, he had his stick in a cross checking position, pushed down on his breezers, Raboin lost his balance and fell into the the boards, it's hard to explain but it wasn't even a check, let alone a check from behind.

Motzko admitted himself that it wasn't a checking from behind. Penalty? Yes. Check from behind? No.
