The guy talking about sedition wants to restrict things to the "modern era?"
It won’t be sedition either when someone shoots a dem politician to “save America”
Sedition:Yeah you are right that isnt what they are doing.
- conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch.
Oh wait the Arizona GOP literally asked people if they were willing to give their life for the cause and one of the lawyers on these lawsuits flat out is calling for 1776 style revolution along with plenty of other people of note on that side (especially when it comes to GA) and lest we forget the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan and the threats against any politician who dares side against Trump...but yeah other than all that sure nothing seditious about it.
Just stop man you look as foolish as the Trumpers the only difference is they arent smart enough to know better. You can't both sides or "just ask the question" your way out of this. What is going on is not just stupid anymore. The GOP is in lockstep...half the Republican Caucus of the House signed on to this as did most of the AGs of the Red States. They arent doing it just for the funsies.
Here is my take on what Trump and some of his followers are doing with respect to these cases, and the Texas case in particular.
First, it's stupid. It has no chance of success, and everyone can see that. It's a waste of time, it's a waste of resources, and it makes them look ridiculous.
It is not "sedition." It's not even advocating for the overthrow of the government. It is the making of futile and unsubstantiated legal claims in court. If making futile and unsubstantiated legal claims in court is now sedition, well, the sedition laws should start seeing a lot more application.
I don't "justify" what they are doing. I wouldn't do it, and if they asked me, I'd tell them they shouldn't do it either.
They have the "right" to do it, I guess, to the extent that anyone has a "right" to file stupid and legally untenable lawsuits, but they should have foregone that right and moved on.
Accusations of sedition are almost universally made by those in authority who are weak and are fearful of the impact of free speech. But if you want to throw your lot in with the Joe McCarthys of the world, be my guest. Your insults won’t convince me to join you.

What is it when they tell Republican members of the federal and state governments to overturn the slate of electors and choose Trump instead? What is it when they pressure state election officials or governors to overturn the election results in their states? What is it when they tell those same officials to throw out the results of the election, and just name Donnie as the winner?
At the very least, that's election interference. Which, last I knew, was illegal.
Just a lone crazy. No idea what his motives might have been, or what formed them.

How far into a civil war will we get before we understand it’s a civil war?
You can deny it all you want, but dumpy has stated his goals to hold onto the Presidency by any means. And he's somehow convinced a bunch of people to actually go to a court of law to support him. As dumb and unlikely it is that they are going to win- the fact that so many are following him with his stated goals to overthrow the election.
Hovey dismisses all this, and the threat that it might entail, just as he dismissed the seriousness of the coronavirus back in February. What was it Hovey, only 20,000 would die as a result of it? How'd that prediction work out for you? Seems like all of us hysterical folk out here might just have a better grasp of what's actually happening in the real world than your serious, level-headed self. or perhaps you just don't want to admit how ****ing wrong you've been about everything,
Well, I thought once Biden won the election the hysteria would lessen around here. I was certainly wrong about that.

I don't think you know what hysteria means.
