Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Very proud of the BU Terriers these last few games. Seemed like they were completely outplayed and extremely outshot and yet they pull out a 5-2 win AND score shorthanded on a 6-3. I'm sure Durocher will be having a conversation with Parker about how that worked out :D .

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Games in progress...

End of the 2nd, Wisconsin lead Bemidji State 4-0 outside at Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers have outshot the Beavers 29-6, and Bemidji is also badly missing Tomcikova. Two goals by Decker and goals by Prevost and Giles for Wisconsin.

Still in the first period (about 2 minutes left), North Dakota leads Ohio State 2-1. Rachel Davis opened the scoring for the Buckeyes, but UND goals by Sara Dagenais and Margot Miller put them ahead.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

1-1 after one period. Dartmouth, as often customary on senior day, started the game with its seniors. Sarah Kennedy, senior goalie, took the first couple of shifts and was replaced with senior starter Mariel Lacina. Brown called on a trip as the buzzer sounded so second period will begin with a Dartmouth power play. Senior Sarah Parson's reached a milestone 150th career point with the Dartmouth goal. Nice job Sarah!

4-2 final Dartmouth. To the Dartmouth senior class, it was a privilege to watch you play over the last four years. Best of luck to you and your team with the rest of the season.

"Brown Parent"-glad to have you joining us. Likely there are other Brown fans, alumnus-nae amongst the posters but in noticing your logging on name I felt glad as there has been, as likely you know, not always good comments re Brown's program. Maybe you can help the rest of us sort some of it out should the need arise in the future. Fortunately (to me) it has abated. Again, glad to have you!

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Things really came together for the Sioux with a 7-2 win over Ohio State. A win had been due for them. Great goaltending all weekend even tho they lost last night in overtime.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Early Friday D-I action: Minnesota State leads Wisconsin 3-1 early in the second period. Minnesota State scored on each of their first three shots on goal in the game  , sending Badger goalie Becca Ruegsegger to the showers early. Two of the MSU goals were by Kala Buganski, the third by Moira O'Connor, and Wisconsin's goal by Briana Decker.

EDIT: End of the 2nd: Minnesota State 4, Wisconsin 1 - MSU's Lauren Zrust scored with 26 seconds left in the 2nd to extend the Mavericks' lead. Meanwhile, Mav goaltender Alli Altmann has been a wall with 31 saves through two periods.

Third period action: Wisconsin's Stefanie McKeough narrows the MSU lead back to two with a goal at 4:57 of the third period. 4-2 Minnesota State leads. MSU's Altmann now at 39 saves and counting.

EDIT: MSU's Lauren Zrust scores her second goal of the game at 9:12 of the third to push the lead back to three goals at 5-2. Kala Buganski gets an assist to complement her own two goals.

EDIT #2: These two teams seem content to trade goals, but the Badgers are running out of time... Mallory Deluce scores on the power play for Wisconsin with 3:10 to go, but it's still 5-3 Mavericks.

And that's the way it ends. Minnesota State 5, Wisconsin 3. Kala Buganski with two goals and an assist, and Lauren Zrust with two goals for the Mavericks. Alli Altmann finished the game with a whopping 48 saves.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Harvard and RPI are tied at 2 going into ot. Princeton beats Clarkson in OT 1-0. Hopefully RPI can pull it off to give Cornell some breathing room.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

St. Cloud Huskies 2, Minnesota Gophers 2.

SCSU wins the shootout(at least according to my sources).

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UConn came from behind and tied it up in the 3rd period. It stayed 3-3 thru OT and PC won the shootout in sudden death.

Your sources are correct. Roberts & F Nelson scored on the Huskies first two shots. Nixon stonewalled Erickson and Schlepper. :(

Thanks for the confirmation. I trust my sources completely, but my time spent on other message boards for my other interests makes me feel I should leave a disclaimer if my information isn't confirmed from a legit source.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

So the Bulldogs beat Ohio State in overtime, the Gophers tie St. Cloud and lose the shootout and Wisconsin loses to Mankato. This is one weird season.
