Scores and Highlights 09-10

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Kudos and congrats to Niagara for giving the Lakers a big L. So far that is a win and tie for the Eagles over the Lakers. Perhaps Niagara has been a little overlooked this season. They have had some big wins and a better than average record against teams currently and at some point in the season in the top ten.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UMD leads North Dakota 1-0 in the first period on a goal by Blais with assists by Fridfinnson and Wilson at 12:50.

EDIT: The first period ends with that score, even though North Dakota is outshooting the Bulldogs 13-11. Both teams are 0-for-3 on the power play and there has also been one set of matching minors.

Tara Gray scores for UMD at 15:34 of the second period to make it 2-0 Bulldogs over North Dakota. Assists to Wong and Fridfinnson.

Of interest: Stephanie Ney got the start in goal for North Dakota in place of Jorid Dagfinrud. It's Ney's eighth start of the season.

EDIT: Make it 3-0 UMD as Fridfinnson gets the goal, her third point of the game, at 17:00 even of the second period. Assists to Blais and Larocque.

EDIT #2: And UMD makes it 4-0 right before the end of the second period. Fridfinnson again at 19:43 of the period on the power-play, giving her 2 goals and 2 assists. Gray gets the lone assist.

UMD outshot North Dakota 13-5 in the period, and now lead in shots for the game 23-18. UMD is 1-for-5 on the power play; North Dakota is 0-for-4.

FINAL: Minnesota-Duluth 5, North Dakota 0.

North Dakota coach Brian Idalski pulled goaltender Stephanie Ney after the second period and put in Jorid Dagfinrud for the third period.

Tara Gray pretty well sealed the game for UMD with a power-play goal at 16:08 of the third period. It was Gray's second goal and third point of the game, with assists to Cournoyer and Larocque.

The third period was very quick with few whistles and only 8 combined shots on goal. The Bulldogs finish with a 28-21 edge in shots. Lana Steck gets the 21-save shutout for UMD.

I wish I could "like" your post. UVM has been very helpful to NU the past 2 weeks.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

Vermont 2 - UNH 1!!!!!!! final.

And to remember that Brown won 1-0 over Vermont recently. They also smoked Providence 5-1.

So maybe the Brown remedy lies in moving to HE. :D ;)

Pssst...Don't tell Cookie, don't think she visits other threads. and a move to HE may save Digit's job. :D :D :D

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

UConn 3, BC 0, end of the 2nd.

NU 1, PC 0 end of 1st.

Uconn 3, BC 1 - FINAL

After 2, still NU 1, PC 0

UNH and BU tied at 2 after 2.

UVM up 1-0 on Maine in the 2nd.

Re: Scores and Highlights 09-10

PC scores twice in the 2nd half of the 3rd to pull to a 2-1 lead. :(

NU seems to have issues with the 3rd period, eh?
