Also from the WCHA: St. Cloud State 2, North Dakota 1. All the scoring was in the second period. Ashley Furia scored first for UND, but the Huskies responded with goals by Felicia Nelson and Lisa Martinson.
And... Ohio State 6, Minnesota State 0. Minttu Tuominen doubled her season goal production with the hat trick for the Buckeyes, and Chelsea Knapp got the 26-save shoutout. The Buckeyes chased Maverick goaltender Paige Thunder halfway through the game after she gave up 4 goals on 8 shots.
Alexandra Zebro and Emily West had the shootout tallies for Minnesota; Erin Cody had the lone Beaver shootout goal.

Kind of an interesting flip-flop visible if you look at the box scores from Team USA 8, Minnesota 5 and Ohio State 6, Minnesota State Mankato 0.
The Tuesday night game in Minneapolis has Langley and Thorsheim as referees with Simonson as an AR.
Friday night in Mankato Simonson is a referee (with Doocy) and we find Langley and Thorsheim returning to their more usual WCHA roles as ARs.

Jenn O'Neil with two goals, including an empty netter with 51 seconds left to make it 3-1. UNH then scored with under 30 to close the gap to one. Wildcats had several opportunities with the extra skater, but were unable to put any quality shots on net (several near misses) and hope for a scramble goal off the rebound.

Bemidji Led 1-0 after one period on a Erin Cody goal at 3:30 of the first. The Gophers answered midway thru the 2nd on a Power Play Goal by Megan Bozek.
Noora Raty has 12 saves for Minnesota while Zuzana Tomcikova has stopped 27 for the Beavers.

Speaking of which,
UMD gets a 4-1 lead and holds on for a 5-3 win over the UW.
It was 6 rounds. Sarah Erickson, Emily West, Anne Schleper, Alexandra Zebro, and Megan Bozek were all denied in the shootout, while Noora held the fort on the other end. Senior captain came through in the clutch. Not an artistic success, but very nice to get 4 WCHA points on a weekend when the Dogs and Badgers are meeting
