Re: RPI Pros V

....meanwhile, since Peter Merth was inserted into Wilkes Barrie's lineup they've won 3 in a row vs Prov. and hope to pull off a, "playoff miracle" tomorrow night. Of course, Krug & Bartkowski (D-men) are now in Boston giving the Rangers all they can handle.

...and they do! After being down 3 games to none they complete the comeback winning 4 in a row. Nice game by Merth as well, 1a...+2 http://theahl.com/stats/official-game-report.php?game_id=1011075 .........History was made http://theahl.com/penguins-march-into-history-books-p184040

Re: RPI Pros V

Anyone know if Pirri was on any of the early playoff round rosters for the 'Hawks? Of course it won't happen now, but its hard to believe the AHL's leading scorer never got a call up , especially after they had the Div. sewn up, late in the season...its not like Bolland was lighting it up offensively. Gotta wonder what CHI thinks/plans for Pirri next year... will they promote him or trade him now that he appears NHL ready ?

He played in Chicago's last game of the regular season. It was mentioned at the time on this thread.

Edit: See post 339 and following.

BP was part of a group who were called up on May 2 as what are referred to as the, "Black Aces"......... Black Aces
Over the past week, the Chicago Blackhawks recalled forwards Jimmy Hayes, Jeremy Morin, Brandon Pirri and Ben Smith, defensemen Adam Clendening, Shawn Lalonde, Steve Montador, Klas Dahlbeck and Dylan Olsen, and goaltender Henrik Karlsson from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
