Re: RPI Pros V

Adam Oates 2-Rangers 0

Oates has the Caps looking very good, but the rangers were only a post away from winning game 2. Not going to be easy to close out the Rangers.

Re: RPI Pros V

....feel better now  I guess the accomplishment of making one's National Team ...... oh, never mind.

Hey, making the national team is an accomplishment in and of itself. I posted that just in case anyone was wondering how his game has been...

Allen York made his playoff debut tonight and stopped all 11 shots he was required to face.

Unfortunately for Springfield, the cat was already out of the bag by the time York entered the game, as the starting goalie gave up five goals on nine shots. Syracuse wins game 1 of the series, 5-2.

Elsewhere in the Calder Cup playoffs, Jerry D'Amigo was even in plus-minus tonight, one of very few Marlies who wasn't a minus, as Grand Rapids annihilated Toronto, 7-0.

Re: RPI Pros V

Allen York returned to the bench as Springfield went back to Curtis McElhinney in Game 2. McElhinney was again decidedly subpar, giving up five goals on 25 shots, and the Falcons are now in a two-games-to-none hole against the Crunch. Wonder if Springfield's coach noted the success Pittsburgh's Dan Bylsma had when he changed goalies after the #1 guy had a couple of shaky games.

Jerry D'Amigo had two assists and was a +2 as Toronto beat Grand Rapids, 4-2, to even their series at a game apiece.

...thought we would wind up seeing Yorkie in Game 2 after McElhinney gave up goals @ 1:02 & 1:15 of the 1st period.

add Peter Merth to the mix as he's in W-B/S Penguins lineup tonight vs Providence.... http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1011072

Re: RPI Pros V

Syracuse did pretty much whatever they wanted in that series.

Except score a goal on Allen York, of course. ;)
