RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

The main thing that a potent power play should do is drive momentum. And yet in the recent past, even when we scored on a power play we could not push forward.
We need a whole new mindset for our offensive game.
For the most part, I think we lacked confidence in our offense.
We have to come out much better this year. A good start could go a long way to a positive attitude. (Exhibition games don't count).
Lets play some hockey!!!!!

Agreed-winning begets winning. Let's start developing some of that attitude and swagger with a couple of early victories! Go Red!!!

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

If I folks are thinking about it, I just purchased tickets online for the RPI game at the D.O.T. bunker on 11/3/12. Can't believe I'm going to again re-enter the building that I continually swear I'll never return to...that's the price of loyalty. :D Tix are $12.00 each

I think this is the first time I meet you. You were talking to a beautiful woman in a fur coat. WS, remember not to drink any fluids for 6 hours before because you don't want to fight for one of the two urinals in the dump. Wanna beat we get Hicks as ref again.

We should probably start putting great before Sachi name also. Can't blame Stu for falling for Sachi's sales pitch, she's very pleasant on the eyes.

I would make some obscene comment but Jenny is nearby and if she saw it I would be a dead man for sure. As it is I may have to sleep with one eye open tonight for a comment I made on the babe's thread in the USCHO cafe. Actually I think she would be more inventive and go with the poison mushrooms instead ( a la Livia and Augustus Caesar).;)

It's bad enough to be close to it in distance on I-890. I wouldn't go there if you paid me.

Thanks for the reminder, I need to do that! Is there a section in which RPI folks usually sit?

I had wondered what Jenny's comments would be about your recent posts there. :D

In honor of Sara Till, today is 5 October 2012. There is 1 day until RPI's next game.

This is based upon 6 October for the start of next season.

That is the day that an exhibition game is scheduled.

After all these years she knows I am harmless.:) However, on the other hand, with her hot Italian temper-she is not. You do not want to get into any sort of altercation with her. She is a little dynamo who can do an incredible amount of damage.

That's right - you 've got a good memory!....Funny thing is, every time I enter Itza Messa, other than enjoying the flashbacks of Benny Barr's glorious two shorty performance, I have this strong urge to paint a big red X on the roof, dial up the GPS, and call in the F-15s... ):p

IIRC, most of the faithful, including the band, end up in Sections I & J. I prefer to sit high up above the glass, so I end up across the ice, mixing it up with the locals. :p

Forgive me if this question has already been answered, but do we know if tomorrows game will be on RPITV?

The band was typically on the corner stage, at least whenever I had the unfortunate desire to play with the band at Messofa Rink.

Since spring of my freshman year (2010-2011) we've been in the bottom of Section I. The corner stage, if you can call it a stage, was taken out and replaced with a concessions stand. I believe the first time we were at the bottom of Section I was when the band helped out Colgate when they faced Union in the playoffs.

Good to know the safety band tradition stuck. :D

That's too bad things changed, as I really liked that open area. It was right at the vertex where the ceiling met the wall, so it created an incredible bandshell. Granted, the acoustics in a salt barn aren't going to be anything like Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, but it was one of the best places, from an acoustical projection standpoint, where I've played with the band.
