RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

She died in 1975...her name was used frequently and with much sarcasm by my family...I'm 52 (my ego is too large to be timid about age!!! Hhahaha!!):D

My family used to refer to her frequently also. Not sure how many others on here would know much about her without the internet. Loved the reference!:)

FlagDude is determined to make this more complicated than it needs to be. EHF: bring whatever you wish...there's no one in charge and there are no rules. I'm getting a good response from parents of players so this is going to be fun!

Thanks Babo, but FD was actually helpful. We will be there with a couple of salads to go along with the pork.
Looking forward to Friday.

Now the pressures really on me to produce...hope my smoker doesn't let me down. :p
Never fear...there will be plenty of people bringing things...I'm hoping there will be a quick guest appearance by the coaching staff (but they may be too busy prepping for the game)...I'm bringing my homemade Irish Cream, a "flame-thrower hot" roasted corn/black bean salsa with chips AND a delicious HOAGIE DIP in bread bowls...using the BRO's kitchen for prep and have the assistance of his lovely girlfriend "Terri-Tori"! Gonna' be a fun time! If this one goes well we may have to re-enact it in Princeton for Dr. D and his Bride...;)

Re: RPI Off-Season Thread 2012 Part III: BYOB: Bring Your Own Bratwurst

Thanks Doc, just ordered my tickets Section 124.
See you in Princeton.

If we were able to get away with 2 tickets as usual we would have been in 124 also(great seats BTW). But because we are bringing a bunch of hockey people with us-we have been shifted over a section. We will find you for sure-you knwo you will not be able to miss us!:D

Not sure how the preppies at Baker Rink will take to this sort of thing. After all they have tried to evict us a few times for bringing in some potent potables. And we were almost escorted out way back in the mid 80's because we dared to bring an air horn and cowbells to celebrate a 6-3 victory in 1985. Besides this year the game is in January-and the weather can be a bit tricky.

T-minus 4 hours to go in the smoker...I'll be setting my alarm to pull off the swine at 1:00AM. My digital remote-read thermometer is saying good things...fingers crossed. I hope Aspy is noting my commitment to excellence. :p

If you lay one finger on that swine, I swear I'll call a 10 minute major misconduct with a 2 and a 5 and a stoppage of play to top it all off!
