Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16
I've said it before, I'll say it again...there is something special about this year's Engineers.In the early stages of this game against a very talented Princeton team they seemed to be outclassed. On top of that, the great Lovisa Salender let in two weak goals.. Okay, she also stopped about 50 other shots, some of which were great scoring opportunities for the Tigers. Somehow, the team scraped and battled to an impressive tie. RPI teams of recent years have tended to fold down the stretch...this team gets tougher as the going gets tougher. They now have a .500 record with just one game to go, and still not guaranteed a playoff spot, but no matter the outcome tomorrow I stand by my earlier comment that this is the grittiest and most exciting team I have watched... and I have followed all of the RPI D1 teams.
