RPI Engineers '15-'16

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

I suppose. That game also started at 2, and ran past 7 anyway. I guess I didn't consider that they'd try to accommodate overtimes.

That was a tremendous game. I couldn't get out until 3 that day and it's about 35 minutes to Hamden so I didn't go figuring I'd, at best, only see a portion of the third period. With each OT, I kept considering hopping in the car but had images of getting there just as the game ended. This time, if it goes to triple OT I'm there.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

I like RPI's goalie. Without her RPI would be sitting home. I really think she could steal one game from Quinny but RPI somehow has to figure out how to get 2 or 3 goals in the game.

And she almost did. WOW outshot 60-7. Unbelieveable. My hat is off to her. Can't wait to see the highlites from this game on the ECAC site.

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Yeah, but 2:00? That's so early! I feel like RPI usually does it as 3/7 when both the men and women are at home.

2 pm does seem crazy, but there were previously scheduled Women's Basketball and Men's Hockey games in the same facility today.

Not sure what the reasoning for starting at 2 pm tomorrow is, when there is only a 7 pm Men's Hockey game scheduled. Maybe allowing for OT and maintaining a 24 hour interval between start times should there be a game three on Sunday?

She is a godess! 55 shots to 7 for QU! Wow!

While I do agree that Selander has been spectacular in net this whole season, whoever is keeping the shot stats needs a lesson in what constitutes "a shot"! Shots that went wide of the net were counted in the shots (for those watching the shots) and interestingly between periods the shots changed! It certainly helps in her own save percentage stat though!

Re: RPI Engineers '15-'16

Credit to the whole team yesterday keeping most of the shots coming from the outside and allowing Louisa to see them coming. It's unfortunate that even the announcers believe the winning goal was kicked in and that the refs allowed a goal - the WINNING GOAL - like that to be the deciding factor. Good Luck to the team today. I hope they can give them another good game and make it to tomorrow.
