RPI 2024 Off-Season: Was 2023 – 2024 Just a Bad Dream?

Unrelated, but how about new uniforms for the 200th year. Perhaps throwbacks? Home uniform 1995 ECAC championship throwback uniform, away 1985 championship uniforms.

I forgot to mention Skoda and Trnkova when there were 91 and 89 days remaining, respectively. I will modify those posts. Payant is in a few days. Of course, we don't know the new players numbers yet.

You're asking a lot from a program which has gone out its way to avoid celebrating it's storied past....the most recent example being the band's anniversary last year, which was treated almost as an afterthought in my view. Given that last year's sweaters were essentially BU knock-offs, my expectations are low. I hope I am proven wrong.

PS: Any news on that exciting HFH building study were we tempted with about a year ago ?? LOL If you are sensing sarcasm then you'd be right... my give a damn is being tested in a major way.....

Agreed…. RPI hockey is a complete afterthought at this point. Unless significant investments are made this program will continue to fail. I think most people have given up hope for a successful program. Let’s be honest here. With NIL, unlimited transfers, athletes being paid by the school etc… I don’t see anyway RPI can stay competitive. Then you have Dave smith… we’re to even start with that guy. Dudes been a head coach for 20 years at the D1 level and has 4 winning seasons. That’s right 4? And McElroy was stupid enough to hire the guy.
