For some of us, the choice is easy. Too bad WRPI doesn't reach all the way up there, only gets to about Pottersville.

I lose it when I get off the Northway and get into Warrensburg. Coming south sometimes I can still listen to Saugerties on the Thruway. That really is pretty good coverage.:)

On Tornando Watch here in Troy and surfing the net. Looked up one of my favorite Engineers from the past - Steve Stoyanovich. Great player. I remember him playing point on the PP. He had a rocket for a shot. Here is a short bio and his stats.

First RPI player to score an NHL goal.

It's time to rally around one of our own - WaP makes a special plea for help for Yale's Mandi Schwartz, including a pair of videos about Mandi and her condition.

Please, if you haven't seen the story on the front page of USCHO yet, drop by Without a Peer and see what you can do to help.

Red Cloud - Real classy post! Thanks for posting.

Union and RPI playing football and hockey on the same day. Hockey in LP, Football in Schenectady.

Way to go, scheduling people...

According to the rpiathletics website, the football game will be played in Troy, starting at 6 PM.

I might have thought that, if they were going to schedule a night game at the ECAV, they would have scheduled it for early in the season, rather than the end of October, but what do I know?

Wait, you're right, time flies by a little too fast. I keep forgetting that football is a fall sport, meaning I have to look at the year before. I was thinking that my senior year was in Schenectady, I graduated in 2008, and it's 2010.

I have been away for the weekend and just had a chance to read this.
I just want to thank you for pointing out all that can be done to help anyone with this disease.
Information is the key to getting help to all who need the kind of transplant that Mandi needs.
You have done a great service to many more than just one Yale student.
Great job,
Thanks

If true, this is a encouraging...meaning that JL hasn't given up on the college route. No shortage of twists...

Good article on NU at WaP. I cannot wait to get out to Matthews Arena again, this time actually seeing the Engineers. Last time I went out was for a Maine-NU game. My buddy graduated from NU and still lives in Boston so we have been talking trash since I found out this game is going on. Other than the exhibition game, that will be my first time seeing the team in a meaningful game for the 2010-2011 season. Hopefully getting a win against a tough NU team out of Hockey East will set the team off on a extended winning streak to start the season. Is it time to drop the puck yet? :)

It looks like it isn't. :D

We're still in triple digits? The suspense is building.;)
