How many seniors are graduating from Robert Morris this year? Are they expect to be as lethal next year?

They have nine seniors, including Lynch, Denham, Schafer, Friedmann, Golightly, and Wilson. Of their top nine scorers, seven are seniors.

LMG6841 has this one guy riled up on the Quinipiac thread:

I'm sorry, are you guys #1 overall? Have you guys been #1 in the nation for most of the year? I believe the word is confident, not cocky. I have watched some of those AHA playoff games and there isn't much you guys do that would even give us an issue. Good luck with a team that rolls 4 lines and our third would start on your team.

I guess he doesn't think the other three lines can start for the Tigers! :D

God I love these threads!

Re: >>>>>>>>> RIT Tigers 2015-16 Regular season thread. On the prowl again

Good luck on Saturday! In D1 hockey, any team can beat any other team on any given night. I am hopeful that Quinnipiac will win but RIT certainly does have a decent chance of coming away with the W.

Also, RIT would be a good addition to the ECAC Hockey League if QU ever moved to Hockey East. However, the QU administration, coaches, men's and women's hockey players, student body, alumni, etc. love playing in the ECAC Hockey League and we would never leave. Plus, we would never give up our War on Whitney Avenue rivalry with Yale.

Nevertheless, it will be a fun game to watch this Saturday. Once again, good luck! (Just not too much luck :))

Ticket information out this morning. We opted for the alumni event route, 80 bucks for a weekend pass is a little steep since we have no intention of attending the late Saturday night game and the chances of playing Sunday are probably not the best, not to mention the Sunday game is 730 pm

Well, I bet he could find a few Q fans who would be incredibly distraught and beg him to take their tickets. ;)

Yes im sure. Im sure QU fans wont stick around to watch yale/lowell winner play RIT in the championship. I wish the sunday championship game was during the day. Kinda annoying that its at 7:30pm on easter sunday no less. Should have been done at 12. But oh well ill be there til late sunday night watching the games. This is my first regional in person

Well yeah, really bad scheduling on the NCAA's part for this series. I don't think giving a team an extra few hours rest if their game went long the night before is going to help. Maybe there's a public skate with the Easter bunny on Sunday that's delaying the start of the Sunday game, LOL!

Enjoy the games and hopefully the large crowd.

As long as their tears haven't smeared the tickets too bad ;)

But yeah even if RIT had a very good chance to play on Sunday night, with the game time and it being Easter sunday, it would be hard to swing

If I remember correctly from the season that RIT Men had to play their AHA championship game directly across from the RIT Women's NCAA D-III Championship game, there's some rule where they're not allowed to schedule the second round game within 24 hours of the start time of either of the first round games. They're kind of stuck on that one. The only way to enable afternoon games in the second round of a weekend playoff would be to separate the games by a day, but that costs the schools an extra night's lodging.

I really think RMU watch their last chance go by the wayside this past weekend. Lose so much to graduation and with RIT and Air Force having such strong freshman classes this year they have a bit of a rebuilding project ahead of them. That is why their play absolutely baffled me this weekend. Not only was their play sloppy but there was no sense of urgency in either game. If you had told me about the mistakes RIT made in the Championship game and then just the final score without who won, I would have guessed RMU would have won.

As I've been saying most of the season it doesn't surprise me that this team is where it is now. I thought for a long time RIT was just as good as anyone in the AHA. The really exciting thing is I feel that they are actually a year or so away from being very dominant. Will be interesting to see how RIT does in Albany, seems like this team maybe just naive enough to shock the College hockey world again... We shall see...

Re: >>>>>>>>> RIT Tigers 2015-16 Regular season thread. On the prowl again

RIT would have to make some serious upgrades to their women's hockey program as well before they could be admitted into the ECAC Hockey League. However, if they added some scholarships on the men's side, upgraded their facility, increased overall spending on hockey, upgraded their women's program, and broke into the top twenty nationally on a consistent basis they would be a good fit in the ECAC if a spot opened up.

The facility has already been upgraded. It's the best facility in Atlantic Hockey and 2 years old.
