>>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

Was wondering if anyone with a little knowledge of RIT recruits could help me out with this question. I noticed that Caleb Cameron according to Heisenberg and CHN is said to be committed to RIT for 14-15, but according to everything I can find from him and newspapers around him it's 13-14. Anyone got any idea? He put up gaudy numbers in the Junior "B" league GOJHL 35-55-90 in 48 games (got MVP award for his conference too).

I would suspect he's a 2014-2015 recruit. He's 19 (5/20/1993) and most of the incoming class are 20 or 21. Before anyone gripes about him coming from Jr B. Remember that the last Tiger recruit from this league to put up gaudy numbers was Tyler Brenner.

Even with QT I'm getting a 503 Service Not Available; it also won't load in Firefox.

The construction site is covered in a white blanket of snow and a big truck just drove by in the background.....

You should 'Google' that error on Bing! :D

He has actually replaced the RIT helmet with a new one. Pictures are in this neat little article:

Great to see Mads finally settling in somewhere and having success.

Do you think Tom Golisano will suprise RIT with a donation for the new arena? He has donated in the past to RIT.

Tom Golisano has already donated. The naming of the Polisseni Center is from a $4.5 million partnership between the Polisseni Foundation and Golisano.

Hmm he'll be here in AZ this weekend. Maybe I'll make the trip up to see him play.

Good piece on Saracino in the DnC: http://www.democratandchronicle.com...280067/RIT-s-Chris-Saracino-hopes-go-out-roar

Sad to hear he's not even going to try and go pro, I feel like with his skillset he could definitely at least get a look. He's almost a point per game player from the blue line again this year..not to mention leadership skills.

Idk becoming a lawyer vs playing in the ECHL for a couple years sounds smart to me

I remember a former Tiger who decided that his masters degree in engineering was a more valuable career track than riding a bus for $500 a week in the E. Very happy for Chris.

Maybe, but who grows up wanting to be a lawyer? I would wager that it's been his dream to play hockey, and that is where his true passion lies. Giving up on your dream can't be easy, and he has the talent, whose to say he doesn't make it to a bottom pairing in the AHL? Is that still not sufficient for you?

I'm not him, I have no idea what his dreams are, just offering my opinion that becoming a lawyer is probably a better career move

It's still possible for Saracino to play in the ECHL (or any league) a little in the spring after the season is over, right? Wonder if he would do that and then start school in August, just to say that he played professionally.

Considering his grandfather is a federal judge I don't think it's that far fetched to think that becoming a lawyer is a dream of his. It's very possible that he's making a sacrifice to attain his dream of becoming a lawyer. It's not easy to get into law school and it's not something easily put on hold either.

Seems like Canisius is ready for the playoffs and RIT is not

Good thing the playoffs aren't until next week.

Re: >>>>> RIT TIGERS 2012-13: Clawing our way up the standings in the 2nd half

Yeah... you're right. I'm just not convinced a team ready for the playoffs would be giving up 6 goals. Yes, Canisius did almost the same, but I felt we should be better than them :|

The third period was a very different story. If Watson makes that one completely pedestrian save, things would have ended much differently.
